Nice.

It's huge. He never talked about being really keen on becoming the world no. 1. He only really focused on playing good tennis at the majors. And this no. 1 opportunity has come as a result. That's how this man thinks. He is a genius.

Being world no. 1 at this age when everyone thought this was becoming a physical, grinder's game is a magnanimous feat. I hope gets this sometime before 2019.

What time are the matches today? Is Rotterdam on the Tennis Channel?

Rotterdam is on TC. Felix is playing now.

Stan should take a break and recover from his injury. Why show up hampered and lose to lower ranked players? Makes no sense.

Stan is probably going to win this week's event. You know what means. He will lose to the Dutch wildcard next week in R1.

Exactly as predicted, Stan lost to a Dutch Wildcard in R1.

So much for Stan stopping Fed from becoming #1.

No matter what happens, Roger (assuming he reaches QF) is guaranteed to face a Dutch player in QF.

I got to see some of Felix Auger-Alliassime today. His first ATP main draw match. 17 years old. @El Dude has been touting him a lot. He lost , but showed a lot of poise and game. I only watched bits, but he did save MPs in the 2nd to force a 3rd. He acquitted himself very well in his maiden outing.

Yes, so much for my jumping on the Stan-wagon after he looked fit for a moment last week. (I am kidding, but he looked good, the one match I watched.) He is going to have to reassess, based on how poorly he was moving today.

His website and @isabelle says he's coming back for IW. That seems early, but we'll see. As to Andy, I haven't even see what he's committing to. How did you find Queens?

Not committed but he's eyeing his return in Queens.I read it on Twitter before Australian Open when he had that hip surgery

Nole will be back in MC, not IW
Sir Andy could be back on grass but nothing's sure

Funny, I was sure I'd heard specifically that he wasn't playing MC, with note of the fact that it was a tough choice, since he can bike from home to the tennis club, but that may have been before the surgery, or "procedure" and all could be different.

Wow. Roger is just firing winner after winner, this is unplayable. This is the kind of form he was in during IW 2017.
#1 prospects looking bleak for Rafa. It was inevitable really. I will make a post when the thing is official, but this man never ceases to amaze me.

I can't wait for IW. It is one of my favourite events during the year.

Roger wins in straight sets, with two breaks in each set. Roger never faced break pt and the whole thing was over in under an hour.
Two more to go for #1.

Next up, German's Kohlschrbrier, a veteran. Same time tomorrow 1:30 p.m. EST, 7:30 p.m. local time. H2H 12-0.

Projected QF opponent is Robin Hasse.
