I'm LMAO because there's no Dubai thread. Dimitrov's lost already. Sure hope they didn't pay him much of an appearance fee. Fly all that way for nothing. Do you even get points for a 1st round loss when there's only 32 seeds? I don't think you do...
If you want a Dubai thread, you could put it up, yourself. We only have so much time, and you may have noticed that other members here do help. I will say that, when I was doing my draw challenge, I thought that Jaziri could be a problem for Dimi. Stupidly, I went with Dimitrov. This is why I can't buy into the guy...he betrays me at all turns.

Commiserations for Rafa and his fans. Rafa had earlier said that he will play in Acapulco only if he is 100%. So, he must have thought that he was 100% to even come down here. Apparently, he reinjured the same area during practice on the day before. To me that sounds worse than not coming to Acapulco at all due to not being 100%.

Yeah, if I’m Rafa I’d be letting the Sunshine Double go. His first priority is Roland Garros and the clay season in general. He’s only losing 690 points if he doesn’t play IW and Miami, which does mean he probably won’t get #1 back until at least Wimbledon, but maybe that’s not all that important and certainly not important enough to risk clay season.

Bad news for Rafa and his fans, good news for DarthFed, Front242, Roger's ranking, and the rest of us Fedfans who don't have the balls to admit we're happy whenever Rafa gets hurt.

Speak for yourself. I have no problem admitting I chuckle when Nadal comes up with ANOTHER injury. Poor sportsmanship? You betcha! :lol6: :D:good: I leave the nice guy stuff to Roger. Nadal's more fragile than a tween girl on a first date. He's now pulled out of 5 straight tournaments. That's got to be a record even for him. I thought he was stupid to not sit out until the clay season - and now he's put that in jeopardy unless he skips IW and Miami. The Big 4 has dwindled down the Big 1 + 1/2 + 1/2. Nadal's fans are going to really be in meltdown mode if he's still injured in mid-April when it's time for Monte Carlo. If I'm Roger I'd lay low and see how Nadal's doing on clay - and even if he's back up to full strength then Roger should enter the French Open because that sucker will be wide open even if Nadal plays. Everybody will be questioning if he's really healed or not. Roger could sneak in a French Open win and complete a 2nd career grand slam.

When was the last time your boyfriend made it through back-to-back seasons without an injury? I'm just curious. Seems like since he was 20-21 he's had a serious injury every other season. The older he gets - the more often the injuries seem to occur.

ITA. Nadal needs to skip IW and Miami. And I'm not just saying that because i want Roger to stay #1. He obviously wasn't 100% healthy and shouldn't have gone to Acapulco in the first place. I guess Acapulco is his Montreal. He'd better hope it doesn't ruin his French Open chances like playing Montreal ruined Roger's US Open chances.

Dear God no. I don't want a Dubai thread. I just thought it was funny that there wasn't one. If Roger had been playing someone would have started one. Without him there it's like the tournament doesn't even exist. :lulz1: I feel bad for the organizers...cuz even with Dimitrov there they had nothing but C-listers this year...

How could Acapulco hurt his French Open chances? Did he even take the court? The French Open doesn't start until late May, does it?

If you don't care, then don't complain. Also, I don't think the ATP/ITF cares about your endlessly downgrading tournaments.

2007/08 seasons nadal had no injurys, I can think of, its the atp fault Nadal keeps getting injured where is too many events on hard courts need to be more clay court events. like the great nadal said that's going to happen to the players lifes after tennis atp need to fix this.

Clearly the ATP needs to adjust the tournament schedule and court surfaces to cater to Nadal.

So you think that Federer beats a full strength Nadal at the French Open?

Keep dreaming mate, Nadal injury won't last that long. by the time F0 comes up Nadal would have cleaned up Monte Carlo, Madrid, Rome, sending Federer fans back to dreamland, Federer will chicken out like he did last year.

You and others claiming Federer "chickened out" last year need to realize he skipped clay season to prevent injury and to not get out of his aggressive style of play and there was no wimping out involved. On the contrary, doing so meant he was fresh and won Wimbledon. He messed up the USO prep last year playing Montreal but learnt his lesson. He'll be the clear favourite at Wimbledon and the US Open this year assuming he doesn't play clay season again and hopefully this year at the USO there will be no stupid overplaying before so he should be fit and clear favourite again.

You act like this is the NFL or Boxing and these guys are going to have big issues after they retire.

I bet Roger will be walking around just fine...and that's more the norm.
