Maybe Kyrgios has played a couple of great matches since he became profesional but out of that I can't understand why some people think that could be a future #1, come on, he is just a clown and a lot worse player than Monfils

Kyrgios will never be # 1 or win a grand slam.,he can't keep it together for two straight weeks or 6-7 straight matches to achieve that type of victory

You consciously believe that Monfils is more offensive than Nick? Not a chance. Nick has every shot in the book, period.

Novak rather fell apart in the last game, looking tired and even resigned on the last point. 25 Aces from Nick. His best performance so far, even counting the Nadal one, which was more instinct than resolve. Big win for Kyrgios.

I wouldn't say never. Given the right influence, he could pull it together and surprise. He's already surpassed Monfils w/ wins against current or former #1s. Has Le Monf ever beaten Fed, Nadal and Djoker at the first time of asking? I think not. :nono

Happy meds win
Great win my silly Nicky ..

Back to Gael..absolutely..we all have seen Gael take it to another level when he wants too..To have every shot in the book you need a volley ..Nick is not that steady at the net nor is Gael..

Well the time zone is okay for me starting around at 1pm in the afternoon.....thanks Moxie, hopefully Rafa plays well against Cilic.
Yes, I think he will. Cilic is a paper tiger, anyway. Would love a Nadal-Kyrgios final, not to get ahead of myself.

EDIT: And I do know you're in Oz, which is part of what makes it so fun...watching a match with someone on the other side of the world in real time. :)

Massive win for Kyrgios!
It really was, and not just because he beat Djokovic or the #2, but because of how he played it. This was a glimpse of the mature, committed Kyrgios we've been hoping for. He served amazing, but Djokovic served really well, too. Nick was in it to win it, and he did.

Kyrgios' serve was crazy today. I can't remember the percentages, but he hit 25 aces and a number of service winners as well. Just untouchable. 210-220 km/h first and about 185 km/h second serves.
Also, won all his first meetings with Fedalovic, only losing to Rafa on clay last year. Incredible. I really never liked him that much but all I can say is hats off for this kind of achievemnt.
