Tiafoe might not win this one, but he's taking a big step forward...or he may yet win it. Playing his idol, they say.

Tired looking TB from Frances, but he played an otherwise wonderful match. Brave, cool and aggressive.

Ohhhh nooooo, Rafa wearing a bandage on his right knee???????

What's the status or state of Rafa's knee

I haven't read anything about it, even when he is practicing he doesn't wear any bandage. I suppose it's more for precaution than anything else.

At least you're finally learning after it was pointed out to you that it's exactly that...precaution. Still doesn't excuse your post about Wimbledon 2008 and AO 2009 where you claimed he was injured unfortunately even though he was running like a gazelle :cover Anyway, from now on please stick to seeing it as precautionary and nothing more.

The court itself isn't fast, but Acapulco is about 1.7 thousand meters above sea level, so the balls travel faster through the air. Del Potro definitely has a chance here, just needs to serve well. No2e is far from his best here.
My prediction: 6:4 7:5 for Del Potro.

Feels odd to say it but the Djoker-Del Po match may be a more important one for Novak than JMDP at this point. If Del Po recovers well enough he figures to have a good shot with the way Nole is right now.

I don't see Delpo playing his best either so I think both are 50/50 to lose or to win

I don't see Delpo playing so well so I would give both a 50/50 to lose or to win

Del Potro's 1st serve pct. wasn't great last night, and that won't do against Novak. But neither looks top form, so yes, @Carol, it could go either way. And @Twisted, I would agree that the loss would be harder on Djokovic, in the near-term, anyway. He's defending a lot coming up.

Watching Cilic-Coric long match it seems it's hot and very damp in Acapulco, both players are sweating a lot

Coric is holding his own. I'm perfectly happy to go 3, and see Coric win.

Borna still not ready to beat his older countryman. Ol' Cough Drop wins. ;)
