More drama involving Stefano Vukov who was Elena Rybakina's former coach,
WTA tour confirms provisional suspension of Stefano Vukov, according to a report from The Athletic, Vukova is still under investigation for a potential breach of the tour's code of conduct, precluding him from acting as an official coach to Rybakina in the Australian Open
Vukov has dismissed allegations that he hasnt abused anyone and still plans to travel to Australia
Elena Rybakina reveled through her instagram post that Vukov would be back on her team to support her during the the upcoming AO. But the provisional suspension precludes Vukov from receiving a WTA credential, thereby barring him from practice courts and the players box during matches
The WTA still investigating, and once the investigation is finalised the details will be published
As it stands now the AO is abiding by the WTA rule of a potential breach of the tour's code of conduct and its provisional suspension of Vukov.
I think the WTA should be transparent and say what the actual problem is here. Rybakina has defended him, and surely she’s the only one he can have affected? Others who weren’t there are disrespecting her by claiming she needs protection from a man she is okay with.

Believe all women, eh? Until they defend a man?

Apparently from what I am presently reading after they finish their investigation they will reveal their findings.
Quite frankly the person I feel sorry for is Goran, he was unaware that Elena had added Vukov who she parted with late last year would be rejoining her team.Quite frankly I cant see Goran hanging around.I think there is more to the Elena and Vukov off court we will never know. Presently Vukov with his provisional suspension is not allowed accreditation to the AO, cannot be at any matches until the investigation is over.

I think this investigation can only have been generated by Elena, right? In that, she either reported something, or said something about him that raised a red flag? But now she says he’s not troublesome in that way. So on what basis are they continuing to ban him?

I think you’re right about Goran, he might not like the drama queen whiff about all this. If he wants drama in his life, he prefers to generate it himself.. :lulz1:

It was generated by WTA coaches who apparently witness abuse from Vukov towards Rybakina. Elena has told him to 'shut up'' in matches I have seen, that dosent really warrant abuse,, though their relationship was strained before the USO, and their partnership ended just after, as I have seen other players telling their coaches to 'shut up".
I dont think the WTA would start investigations without some real substance? at present we are all in the 'dark' until the WTA finish their investigations.
Personally speaking I dont understand why after appointing Goran as new coach, she would re-hire Vukov after ending their coaching arrangement. I am not in favor of having 2 coaches unless they are both on the same page

I agree with the last bit there but as for them investigating with no substance, it’s not impossible. There’s people who think rumours about a man are enough proof. Now, it could be that Elena is brainwashed or suffering abuse but still, she says no. That ought to be enough unless there’s real substance to it, in which case they have to listen to her, even more so. It’s an awful mistake to make otherwise..

Lets see what evolves after the WTA finish their investigation, we can all make up different scenarios, some people are saying they were in a 'relationship' and it went sour, she ended their coaching arrangement, he was her coach for many years and she won her GS at Wimbledon when he was her coach.

Well that’s the point, I’m not sure there actually is anything to investigate if Elena says no. If they were in a relationship, that’s problematical but not abuse. It’s kind of Mourataglou territory, is it?

Well the WTA must think the abuse, allegations from other parties, needs a investigation, otherwise they would not place a provisional suspension on Vukov, abuses. also may I add Elena and her new coach Goran do not need this 'drama' just before the first major of the year.

Don't know why Caroline has withdrawn - let you know as soon as I know.
A pity of the finish of final in Auckland. Osaka won first set 6-4, but something must have happened to her, as she sat with a teary face in the pause, so Clara Tauson wins the title in a special way. Hope Osaka will be ready for the Open. Nice first set btw

The new winner and new #41 on the racelist Clara Tauson

Clara's next tournament is in Hobart - Mary country - why? because it's the native country for Queen Mary of Denmark - so think that the Tasmanians will be behind Tauson - me thinks ;)

My feeling is that Caroline is withdrawing from the tennis sport, as it takes too much effort to come back, at the level she had before, and one still has to remember she has this permanent illness in her body (can't remember the name). We'll see

I thought maybe she was pregnant again:) btw other people have suggested she is also retiring from the sport, having 2 children and time away from the sport, then trying to get back to your previous level takes time and patience, also she suffers from rheumstoid arthritis which is an ongoing condition

I believe she's in a relationship w/ him. It would explain her moody behavior. I also think she could be suffering from some kind of Stockholm syndrome. People around her would know better than us but obviously there is something there and maybe the WTA is required to perform their due diligence if anything is reported. Remember that whole situation w/ the Chinese star Peng Suai.
