To put this context, Cerundolo ranked 18th best in clay Elo last year, and 17th in 2023 (according to UTS). So he's a legit top 20 clay player.

Let's see if Cerundolo is stubborn. All his countrymen were able to trouble Fonseca with high looped top spins. It is a bit against his nature, and the match is indeed competitive, but this would an approach to him.

I think Cerundolo's path to potential victory is actually playing it safe and consistent. Fonzie is tired and has played a lot of hard-fought matches. Cerundolo won't be able to out-blast him, but he can annoy him enough to encourage errors.
