Also, Gauff really needs to work on her attitude and complete lack of game face. She absolutely radiates negativity too often.
Quite frankly presently Gauff has to work on her technical problems in her game? her serve and her fhand, her attitude game face will improve when she gets those 2 important area's of her game under control.

Coco's a "negative Nelly!" The most I remember about her winning her USO was the acknowledgement of "the haters out there!" I was appalled!
She is not the only one ,throw in Quinwen too.Rannae Stubbs too is very negative and doesn't seem to have control over her mouth.Nonna Evert too..throw her in too.

That's so lame! This child's too young t/b this jaded & secure enough in herself to lash out as if she's been around as long as Rennae! Pls spare me!

Emma Raduncanu has also withdrawn from the WTA250 Guanhzhou Open, as well as the WTA500 Ningbo open with a foot injury. It will probably be wise for Emma to end her 2024 season, like Ons Jabeur and Maria Sakkari to fully recover from their ongoing injures, though apparently Emma is determind to return to the court in 2024.

Tented,
I did some research on Matt Daly, Coco's new coaching addition, he previously worked with Shapo for 1 year, though the most pleasing aspect was he is a specialist in grip changing, and technical support, hopefully that fhand will be under better control with a grip change, and also working on her serve., which I feel at times, when she feels pressured is more 'emotional' than technical, though on her 2nd serve she tends to drop her head.
Sabalenka had a serve a couple of years ago that let her down big time, one year she top the player with the most DFs in one year, she has always had the foundations of a great serve, then she hired a biomechanic specialist and got her serve under control, I noticed him in her box this year at the final at the USO, so he apparently still works with Sabalenka, he also got her fhand under control as well.I am happy the Coco has hired Matt Daly who can help her in the technical area's of her game.

Danielle Collins withdraws from Ningbo leaving her unlikely to make Top 8 for Riyadh, ( though she's still probably good to travel as an alt)
Based on what she's said so far, I'm guessing therre'll be no real public 'goodbye' and she may have played her last match

M/b like Rennae I'm just too fk'n old to understand how stupid this convo's gone! :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::anxious-face-with-sweat:

That's why I think she needs Venus as a mentor.. That was the beauty of Venus 'a game she kept her emotions although the calls were made against her. This may be unpopular but Venus by far is the most self composed athlete of any sport.. She is the ultimate role model on the court. Venus has got to be excellent in playing poker.

Zheng is starting to figure out Saba.. If she can develop some weapons she may still a slam in a few years. She does not have the weapons like the big 3

I personally dont like her,, a lot of the players dont either as well, she can be a Drama Queen, one of those players that says ' she isnt on tour to make friends? we have heard that line before havent we? lol!, always has an excuse why she lost, eg, didnt get enough sleep, felt sick before a match lol! yes her tennis has improved, this year, her serve could be better, first time she took a set off Saba, though the match was always on Saba's racket

Paolini, Rybakina and Pegula now quaified for end of year WTA finals, one place is open and Zheng is close.
Zheng is playing at the Ningbo WTA500 tournament and is one of the top 4 seeds, she will get a bye in the 1st round, if she does well it could cement her for the end of year finals, Emma Navarro is also playing at Ningbo, though Emma would have to win the tournament, to have a chance at the end of year finals, Emma going out in back to back in previous WTA1000 Asian tournaments, didnt help her cause at all.
