Naomi Osaka has been given the green light to compete for Japan at next month's Paris Olympics, the Japanese Tennis Association has confirmed
And Caroline Wozniachi got a wildcard to the Olympics as one of the former Grans Slam winners. Was annouced today by Wozniachi and the danish olympic commitee.
So now Rune will have a hard time choosing with two possible partners in a mixdouble...

Taylor Swift wrote a handwritten card to Iga Swaitek congratulating the tennis No 1 on her Roland Garros slam win
It was given to her at the Liverpool the Eras Tour night one,
Does the make Iga Swaitek officially a "Swiftie" :)

Just seen a very fine match -with ups and downs. but nice to see two good players on their way back. It was Andreescu today and nice to see her back at a top level again and Osaka just need a little luck now because she's playing really well -she lost because she was distracted by Andreescus fall - me thinks

In just her 2nd tournament back Andreescu d Osaka 64 36 76 (3) just the 2nd meeting between these 2 players
Andresscu reaches the SFs
Osaka showing promise on grass, too many ufe from Osaka when it mattered, towards the end of this match, Osaka too erratic in the TB, in this match up Andreescu's game suits the grass better, Bibi has more variety in her game, she has a wicked bhand slice,
If Osaka played doubles if would her her singles game and also help her game on grass, also helps with her transition game to the net

In other QFs results at Lima Open, Netherlands

L.Samsonova (2) d G.Minnen 64 75
D.Galfi d A.Krunic 75 63
Match between R.Montgomery v E.Alexandrova (3) suspended due to rain

I don't know if it's a good idea for Iga to go straight to Wimbo w/o any matches on the lawn. She has QF pts to defend and you don't want to give the rest of the tour any confidence that they can sneak a slam.

But this is her M.O. She's been back for almost 6 months and she's being defeated by someone who's playing their 2nd tourney back. Like you said, way too erratic. Some of those errors weren't even close to going in.

There are a couple of tournaments Iga could still enter before Wimbledon, Bad Homburg and Eastbourne, agree I dont think she can arrive at Wimbledon without some grass match play.

Libema Open, Netherlands,

B.Andresscu d D.Galfi 64 62, this is Bianca's first final since 2022, she has a chance to won her first title since USO 2019, also it is her birthday tomorrow

L.Samsonova (2) vs E.Alexandrova (3), 1st set Samsonova 63, though this match has been suspended due to rain and I would be thinking it will be finished tomorrow morning.
