Daria Kasatkina previously won this tournament in 2017. This is her fifth appearance, record is 18-3. Daria defeated Jess Pegula the No 1 seed in 3 sets to make the final.

Danielle Collins has won 12 matches on the trot and has not lost a set on her way to the final. This is her 2nd consecutive final, winning WTA1000 Miami last week.Danielle defeated the No 3 seed Sakkari in straight sets to reach the final.

Main draw play starts Monday 15th April through to Sunday April 21st.
Indoor clay, the Wilson Roland Garros Ball will be used at Stuttgart.
Defending champion is Iga Swiatek.
Wild Cards,
Angie Kerber, Laura Siegemund, Tatjana Maria and Emma Raducanu
American's Jess Pegula and Emma Navarro withdrew, due to change of schedule, both play in the BJK Cup
The singles draw will take place on site at 1.00pm Sunday April 14th. Doubles draw will come out Saturday 13th April.

I thought it was a mistake to let Peribe go. I think the combo of he and Brad are what made her so good last summer when she went on her run.
