Jasmine becomes the fourth unseeded WTA1000 champion and the first since Garcia who won in Cinncy in 2022. She will make her Top 20 debut next week and is projected to crack the Top 15.

Main draw begins on Monday February 26th.
Barbora Krecjikova is the defending champion, she will not be defending her title this year
No 5 Jess Pegula is playing, her first tournament back since the AO, she didnt play the Middle East swing, citing a neck injury.It will be Pegula's first tournament since splitting with long time coach David Witt. I have not heard of any updated news who will be Pegula's new coach.
Caroline Wozniacki also returns after receiving a main draw wild card.

I have been following Jasmine for many years. She showed early promise, but wasn't consistent w/ her belief or results. She's finally putting it altogether. She reached several SF and Finals of smaller tourneys and lost a few from winning positions. I'm glad to see her turning some of these around.

Apparently the new coaches that Jess Pegula has hired former doubles players Mark Knowles and Mark Marklein cant work with her full time, so they will alternate travel.

Not with a blink of an eye but Blinkova wins second set 6-4, as she upped her game and Woz upped her errors - going 3 fingers crossed. - well still work to do for Woz - congrats to Blinkova
