Aha, it was Stearns. Similar type of players, her and Volynets. In IW this year,
Saba had to save 4 MP to defeat Stearns in the 2nd round

I can't explain it. Doesn't make any sense to save yourself unless you really are injured. She basically is leaving 1000 pts on the table w/o picking up a racquet this week.I did remember you saying that, still she was defending champion at a Masters 1000, I mean she made Madrid SF and suddenly gets ill? not for the first time either, is she becoming a bit of a Drama Queen as well? or she could be saving herself to go deep at RG?
She was ahead in the 3rd set as well, playing at home can be added pressure to do wellJaz is complicating the heck out of this match. Must be nervous playing at home.
Maybe Simona or Sharapova can give her some "uppers"!In regards to Rybakina and ' feeling ill' and not able to play and defend her title in Rome, also this isnt the first time she has withdrawn in a big tournament,
I suggest she gets a full blood count study to see if she is lacking in vitimens/or minerals in her system, also look at her current diet
Elena might need vitimens to boost her immune system as well.
Yes she has a very low energy vibe...Maybe Simona or Sharapova can give her some "uppers"!
Told ya, she needed to dump him a long time ago.Since breaking up with Tsitsipas, Paula Badosa has been playing better tennis, another 3 set win over Schnaider 57 64 64
I'm surprised too. She's been struggling since the comeback, very seldom she puts a few wins together. I wonder will she ever catch up again with the top players and be a slam contender. Let's give her more time..I am watching 2 matches at present,
Osaka 1st set 63 over Kasatkina, unless Daria picks up her game, Osaka who continues to play well on clay, never has been good on the dirt, will win in straight sets
Osaka was very good the best I have seen her play on dirt, defeating the No 10 seed Kasatkina 63 63 and she is in the round of 16 in Rome
You have to remember the state of her game before her maternity leave. She was kind of out there. Wasn't playing well, losing to scrubs, disinterested, unmotivated, etc. She has a long way to go to even get back to some level of consistency w/ her training and tourney schedule. Maybe then the results will follow.I'm surprised too. She's been struggling since the comeback, very seldom she puts a few wins together. I think she made QF of either Rome or Madrid one year back when she was a force to reckon with.I am watching 2 matches at present,
Osaka 1st set 63 over Kasatkina, unless Daria picks up her game, Osaka who continues to play well on clay, never has been good on the dirt, will win in straight sets

Even if the WTA were paying attention about her numerous withdrawals, they are spineless like their counterpart ATP. They aren't going to do anything.I have always been suspicious of Lesia Tsurenko with her withdrawls and retirements in matches
Today she retired in her match against Kalinina, with Kalinina winning by retirement 2-0?
It is the 11th time that she has retired/walkover in a match in the last 18 months? honestly and noone from the WTA has question that at all?
Sat to say they werent do anything, go hand in hand with the spinless ATPEven if the WTA were paying attention about her numerous withdrawals, they are spineless like their counterpart ATP. They aren't going to do anything.
