I have always said that Korda has the tools to become a great player, but it's results like this that leaves me scratching my head.

I don't understand these masters tournaments scheduling anymore. When it starts, when it ends, how long it lasts? Which day is the final, which day is quarters? It's all scrambled up.

Don,
Due to the Olympics this year both Montreal and Toronto for the women started late, also Montreal had a whole day wiped off due to rain, their tournament has been rain delayed, reason yesterday some players had to play twice today Monday is the final at both Montreal and Toronto

Well if you watched his matches, not just checking results? after defeating Zverev, he didnt have much left in the tank later when he had to play in his second match against Popyrin
Seeing the tournament in Montreal was stopped and started due to bad weather, rain, the tournament was washed out for 1 day, meaning players had to play twice in one day, some players coped other players didnt.

Rublev starts off with an insanely off-the-mark game to go down the early break.

Alexi made hay while the sun shines and consolidated the break, early days, I have to go out for a little while, I am recording the match,

They're going thru a change! A couple Masters events in Europe have already gone to 2 weeks! Canada & Cincy will follow suit more than likely! The tennis schedule is so cramped as it is! As I said, I'm not sure how much I'll be watching in the coming years! The game's already a ball-bashing fest! It's only gotten worse as these players are going "full out" crushing the ball during rallies that are interminable as sets routinely go over an hour; not just w/ Nadal & Djokovic! The women are getting there! The players will continue brk'n down IMO w/ plenty of WD's occurring more frequently!:slap:

I was just hearing yesterday that Rublev suffers from depression. I guess that's not surprising. I know he talked to Safin recently, and said it helped. Another long-suffering Russian. I'm sympathetic, and do want him to find his way. His game is good, but he spends so much time being his own worst enemy.

One of the reasons hr didnt play the Olympics he decided to take a well earned break, for his mental depression quite frankly I feel he should seek proper professsional help
