My goodness, that went fast. I actually was mostly watching a news show, expecting Rune to win in straights.

Also, @don_fabio, to your point of early in this week, what is up with the schedule with Canada and Cincy? Is it really 2 weeks, or is it really just a flabby 10 days, all the flab up front, and then Monday finals? Who thinks this is a good idea? I don't love it.

It was primarily because of being an Olympic year, it wont be like that in 2025 for Canada and Cinncy

Margaret explained it, said it's due to OG scheduling I think. But really, finals shifted to Mondays make no sense at all.

I see a lot of empty seats? People are working tomorrow too.

As I said before, I blame the ATP and WTA for not having a plan around the Olympics. I hope they learn from this, so we don't have a debacle with 2028 Wimbledon.

It will go back to normal in 2025 for Cinncy and Canada it was just for the Olumpics

Oh, thank goodness. Somehow, I thought this was something they wanted to make permanent, the 2-week thing.

I am also over having Masters and WTA1000 tournaments going 2 weeks, though some tournaments next year will keep it to 2 weeks, I will have to recheck the schedule for 2025.

There is too many errors from both players. Not a very pretty match. Rune got himself out of the hole in the opening game in the 3rd. He was there for the taking, but Tiafoe missed a few easy shots.

It will be nearly impossible to win Novak's/Nadal's number of Masters in the future if the majority of Masters remain extended. Be it Alcaraz or whoever.

I'm curious why you say that?
