No 8 seed Maria Sakkari bites the dust and is defeated in 3 sets by M. Kostyuk 06 75 62....quite frankly I am not surprised by this result, back to the drawing board for Sakkari who continues to have a ' sub par' year.
Back to back losses 1st round losses at Slams for Sakkari so far this year!
The Greek goddess needs to hire Iga's sports psychologist. Good Grief

Please she has always been Mentally Weak, she has 1 title to her name, she needs a new coach, agree with Kskate, Tom Hill is a good coach, lets see if Mark P continues with her, Iga wont be giving up her SP

Just caught a glinpse of Thursday OOP with serveral R2 matches not scheduled including Jabeur, Sabalenka????
This is Madness
It gets better!

Bianca Andreescu tweeted,
" Hoping to play my first round Wimbledon match on Day 4 lol".

To me the officials should have started matches earlier, after the delays because of the rain, try to finish the back log of matches for players, we now have doubles and mixed doubles matches starting, I hope there will be no more interruptions.

Like I said earlier, just backwards. I glanced at the OOP and they still aren't doing right by her. She should be first on an outside court followed by a R2 match. Instead they have her following another R1 women's match.

Wimbledon are always biased with their court assignments. They do like dem bottle blondes on the bigger courts.Andrescu has been kinda slumping, and is not hot right now.She better start playing well to garner some attention.

Just looking at the mixed doubles teams competing this year at the Championships
It appears life partners are turning into tennis partner this year at Wimbledon.
Paula Badosa/Stefanos Tsitsipas as well as Katie Boulter/ Alex de Minaur are competing this year.
The Loved Up couple of Badosa/ Tsitsipas will play the Top seeds of Jessica Pegula/ Austin Krajicek in the first round, yes Jess apart from playing singles, is also in the ladies doubles with Coco Gauff 2nd seeds.
Bianca Andreescu will compete again with Michael Venus after their successful run at Roland Garros this year where they advanced to the final.
Two time defending champions Desirae/Krawxzyk are the 2nd seeds, other teams to watch Latisha Chan/Ivan Dodig 3rd seeds
Leylah Fernandez/ Welsey Koolhor are also competing.

I hope Bianca gets it together and wins another slam. I'd hate for her to become another Conchita Martinez that beat an aging all-time great for her only slam and never replicating that success.

Bianca has been struggling to find form, she needs to win matches in two sets and once she goes to a third that's when she seems vulnerable.I think she needs to go back to the coach that helped her win the Open

I see Babs retired down 4-0 in the 2nd set. Ever since she made that proclamation that she should be considered part of the Big 4, she's done nothing to back that up. A lot of poor play and inconsistent results.

I knew this would be a tricky match, Jule Niemeier d No 16th seed Karolina Muchova 46 75 61, Jule made the QFs last year
M. Vondrousova d No 12th seed V.Kudermetova 63 63
Good to see Elina Svitolina get another win taking out Elise Mertens 28th seed 61 16 61...weird scoreline

In the decider Chrissy's daughter had an MTO. She got her leg strapped up and finished the match, but she wasn't really right afterwards
