I wouldn’t put this one to bed yet. They’re both fairly erratic. It could become entertaining..I thought Foe was ready to win a slam. Where is his persistent fan? Maybe he will mount a comeback. Dimi is not the sturdiest closer.
At the same time, bad break for Dimitrov. Now, he will not able to finish the match today at all!Actually with the rain coming down it might be a blessing for Tiafoe
Agree, the weather in London this year for the Championships has been terrible to say the least, play suspended due to rain and bad light, some players are behind in their draws etcAt the same time, bad break for Dimitrov. Now, he will not able to finish the match today at all!
Players about to come back on CC and Court 1, both roofs will remain closed
Play on outside will try to re commence once the rain stops
Weather forecast for tomorrow is pretty bad............rain
Agree, seeing it is suppose to be a outside tournament, I would hate for the matches to be played under the roof. Now they’re reaching the stage of the tournament where if they had to, they could easily finish under the roof, and play the lesser events next week.
Hopefully that doesn’t happen…
On paper, Rune has an easier match against either Tiafoe or Dimitrov, but he still is inefficient in terms of completing matches. He might win, but it will be like a very tight 5 set match. The top half is getting very interesting. Holger and Carlos heading towards a face-off in the Q/F, though it isn’t straightforward for either of them in the 4th round, but they should be expected to progress if they continue to step up. Especially Holger, who seems to have the easier match…
They’ll have no choice, there’s nothing else they can do if it rains, but I agree. They have the schedule under control now so hopefully they can make use of whatever clear weather they get next week and keep it all outdoors..Agree, seeing it is suppose to be a outside tournament, I would hate for the matches to be played under the roof.
Rune is a tough sumbitch in them tight fifth set tiebreaks. Didn’t he win a 10-8 tiebreak in Paris too?On paper, Rune has an easier match against either Tiafoe or Dimitrov, but he still is inefficient in terms of completing matches. He might win, but it will be like a very tight 5 set match.
He did, but he was totally spent against Ruud in the next match.Rune is a tough sumbitch in them tight fifth set tiebreaks. Didn’t he win a 10-8 tiebreak in Paris too?
They met in Madrid where Foki contested a linecall, which wasn't allowed because they used computers. He acted like a spoild brat in that situation calling for the director and yelling, and Rune got the crowd on his back for removing the mark. It was an epic match in 3 sets. Nice Rune got his revenge...Not a surprise he's leading. If I'm not mistaken, they've played once and Foki won it
