Was a good match vs rafa at RG, rafa will always have edge on clay though. Rafa has always been one my favourite players, it’s his fans who have become unbearable.. their hate for djokovic..it’s unreal. Now nick is their hero.. lol their white knight on sunday. I think novak was overconfident too as rafa now has the habit of talking about how ‘hubbled’ he is. In the press conferences he kept acting as if he has problems.. worried face an all.. then he comes out and runs like a rabbit.. and cheetah. Casper rudd apparently played a hubbled rafa and how did that go for him..

i’ve seen nick practice in person, one of the coolest guys.. he was regularly talking to crowd snd opted to practice with a juniorX which apparently he does a lot. He acts like a regular dude… not some untouchable ‘superstar’ and yet he’s the main attraction where he goes, people just wanted to see him play
Mike I know Rafa has always been one of you favorite players.Novak is a champion player noone can ever take that away from him.'
In tennis fans have their favorite's with flaws and all, fans like Rafa and Roger, Novak for many reasons.
I have followed Nick since he was a junior, yes he has a great game for tennis, he has a great chance against Novak, grass has al;ways been Nick's favorite surface, even as a junior, let's see what unfolds in the final tonight

The truth? I enjoyed the match… rafa is my second favorite player so not really losing sleep over it. It his fans, boy.. they have become almost as bad as fed fans.. during fed’s prime, they way they hated rafa.. now it’s you all, you lose sleep over djokovic getting more slams

So nick if your white knight tomorrow? Lol
So, you have a problem with Federer and Nadal fans “hating” on Djokovic?

What about Djokovic fans hating on Nadal or Federer?

I don’t hate Djokovic like you claimed Nadal fans. In sports, especially if there are fierce rivals, then there’s a natural tendency to “hate” or don’t like the rival of your favorite player.

But once all said and done, nobody will lose sleep because all three players are the equally the Greatest Of All Time.

Nick kyrgios.. the white knight, the big hopes of rafa and fed fans tomorrow. Then after sunday’s final, especially if he loses, he will be a piece of sh_t to rafa and fed fans…

enjoy the match, nick (the most entertaining player ala mcenroe) vs novak (the goat in making). Blockbuster!!

we may see exquisite tennis, fights with crowd, umpires, ball throwing.. bit of everything!

Doubles champion in AO, now potentially singles champion at Wimbledon, then retires? Barty did, so maybe it’s an Aussie thing? ;)
It’s goes against everything all-time greats such as the Big 3 and Serena have stood for.
I'm not saying I want him to, but spare some compassion for the Australians, especially in terms of the pandemic. Home is far away for them, and in the pandemic it was stay home, or become the Ancient Mariner. (Which Barty did.) The peripatetic life of a tennis player is not for everyone. Even Del Potro talked about it being harder for those from the southern Hemisphere. Players from Europe and No. America have it much easier.

Nick deciding to retire has nothing to do with the pandemic.

Mike, you are always so convinced about what other fans want. And call them out as haters. I never buy the folks like you who say you liked Nadal but turned against him "because of the fans." What BS. Either you like a person's game, or you don't. If you let the internet turn you against a player then you don't like tennis, you just like the internet. You showed up during Roland Garros for about one round to tell us off, figuring Novak would win, then completely disappeared again when you were wrong. Now you're back, (from outer space, as Gloria Gaynor might say,) to tell us off again. As if we are a unified entity. Some like Nick, some don't. Some like Novak more than others. But as Nadal fans, why shouldn't we hope that Nick wins? You say he's our White Knight for one match. If you were around more, you'd realize he has some actual fans around here, myself included. I challenge you to stay around for the live chat and after the match. Otherwise, you're just a blustering drop-in from the old days, who can't even spell "hobbled," much less understand what it really means.

Well, he hasn't decided to retire, but I disagree that if he does, it has nothing to do with being locked down in Australia. Actually, the fact that he's been playing better, and more focused, I would argue does have to do with the pandemic. He rather needed to stay home for a while and sort himself out, it seems. But one thing seems clear in all of this...he doesn't love traveling. He likes being home in Australia. What do I know, but that's the way it seems to me, based especially on his social media. Wasn't that sort of it for Ash?

No it wasnt I am a bit sick and tired of this quite frankly. Ash dream was to win Wimbledon, actually if people read her comments after she won the AO, I knew deep down she would retire, she could not give any more? what is wrong with that? she retired on her own terms, not others people terms.Ash is doing great things with Junior players at present if anyone is interested.I suppose now she will be branded as 'mentally weak'
As I mentioned like a broken record, I always take Nicks comments, like hinting of retirement with a 'grain of salt.Yes he does like his home which is now in Sydney, the pandemic is over, lets talk in the present.Nick will never play the full tour, he hates clay for starters, even as a junior, I guess he is a part time player on the tour, again that is his choice.

I will say this about Nick, he thrives on the 'under dog status' going into the final as not the favorite suits Nick to a tee.

Just watched a interview with Nick's mum, Nill Krygios, who is unable to travel to London because of a long standing illness.
She says her son over the years has been heavily criticized , and as a parent you try to shield your son, though at the end of the day,it is up to Nick to stand up for himself.Nick is very sensitive, keeps things to himself. Nill believes her son has a chance of defeating Novak, Nicks serve will be vital for a victory.Win or lose, Nill will be super proud of her son.

Renaud Lichtenstein from France will be the chair umpire for the mens final ( gee they are going with French umpires this year, a Fremch umpire was also chosen for the ladies singles final). This is Renaud's first men's singles final at Wimbledon, having worked at 14 Championships.Good luck Renaud!

Nick has been and is an asshole. There's no shields for his behavior. His tennis is phenomenal and that's all that matters.

It'd be a total shame if he did. Only 27 and has years left of being a contender, especially on grass. The sport is way too boring and PC without guys like Nick so I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon. Barty retiring so young was a total shock. At least Swiatek is a very entertaining new number 1.

Novak should give Rafa the prescription because it worked to him very well, his service was better than ever and he won that tournament.
I'd call it a draw. Nadal's numbed up foot didn't seem to be a whole lot of trouble for him at RG either so much so that I weighed up putting down a quite large amount of €2500 on him in the final given there didn't apper to be a whole lot wrong there. All the talk of his foot during RG and yet he just kept on winning, same as Djokovic at the AO with his ab tear. After both guys had won the titles and the adrenaline and injections wore off, you can bet they both felt a bit sore. Adrenaline during the matches coupled with whatever local anaesthethics they were given meant they felt very little and were able to continue. Modern medicine is amazing.

Yawning?! Yeah, I guess it’s just an ordinary day for him, so he’s bored. Or was he out all night drinking?
