I read that Novak wanted to practice privately the reason he pulled out of the exhibition match?
Also not playing a match on the grass, is an adjustment in itself, after playing on clay, that goes for all players

Maybe that was a polite way of saying he wanted to practice against a stronger opponent such as Cilic.

Btw does anyone else think Wimbledon is trying to turn the 3rd march on CC into a night session. They start play on CC 30 mins late, slow to move onto the next match etc, it's like they want to shut the roof & turn on the lights every night

I think it's a job for tournament director. In other sports I think that behaviour would be punished.

I will say the tournament director will look at what happened in the match and Nick K will get fined, still he does get away with murder at times.

BTW with the loss of Casper Ruud today No 3 seed, that quarter, which previously lost real contender Hurkacz, is now wide open.Already guaranteed a first time semifinalist.
