This is the thing: there was no reason for Medvedev to look the more haggard and befuddled at the end of that match. Except, as you say, "he doesn't know what them depths are like," and I don't think most of them do. Of all of them that are hopefully going to learn something, I do have the most faith in Daniil. Mostly because he's stared it in the face, more than a few times, in important moments.
