Does anyone think that Denis looks like retired Aussie player Sam Groth? I do..

Can't remember Groth! I have to see a player week in and out like Coco Gauf to recall them if they aren't winning! (OMG give that child a rest) I can see Shap fitting in quite well "down under!" I think you may have said you can't stand Cash, but Denis reminds me of him with those big eyes and strong build! :face-with-tears-of-joy: :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :astonished-face::lol6::laugh:

Groth had a big serve and fhand, though really didnt make it as a singles player, played DC for Aussie.I can see a bit of Cash in Denis eyes an d build I guess.

I am not talking about today of course. I am talking about future matches. The good thing is though his next potential long and tricky match will probably be against Medvedev in SF.

Also, the final will be on Saturday, so no more days off for the players.
I'm not worried about Rafa. He looks great. The rest of the week is a coast. Medvedev, however, is trying to reach #1. He's the guy with the stress.

I am not worried about Rafa either. I just wish it is IW and the Clay season already. Those will be fun to watch especially now he is healthy and fully confident.

Agree....Rafa looks 'colm and relaxed' to me...Medvedev is the one with the pressure.I did read Novak said he deserved to be the No 1 player? btw.

I dont know if anyone was watching Zverev's doubles match he got his racket and hit the umpires chair twice with it? and then went and abuse him
To me he should be Defaulted from the tournament Now....disgusting behavior from Zverev and Should Not Be Tolerated Period
Another reason I cannot stand the German.

Zverev needs to be suspended from the tour after what he did AFTER his doubles match! He hit the umpire’s chair plus he continued to verbally abused him saying, “He ruined the whole f*** match!”

By the way, AP, after that behavior from Zverev, he should be the Top ATP Villain not Medvedev. That was horrible to see from one of the top male players in the world.

It’s funny that he shows this type of emotion on a doubles match. But, when he is playing singles in Slam, he is like a nervous baby boy!

I really dont know why anybody on TF gives the German the time of day period. He is mentally weak can only win 3 set matches, his tennis is totally boring.
If nothing is done I am emailing the ATP...on this disgusting behavior, which cannot be tolerated period.
If he cops a fine I give up on ATP tennis.

I just saw the replay of that aggression towards the umpire, at the end. That was outrageous. They have to eject him from the tournament. Serena was penalized a point that cost her the match for less, and you do have to say it was less, even if you think it was intimidation of an official. This was after the match was over, but he practically struck the guy. He should be ejected, fined, and put on probation, at the very least. Remember Kyrgios was put on probation for a rude comment against Wawrinka's girlfriend.

I have tried to keep it in the background on the issue of Zverev and the case that he abused his ex-girlfriend. But this guy clearly has anger management issues. The ATP/ITF or whomever is supposedly investigating the abuse case maybe ought to try a little harder, now. It seems like child's play, now, the things that got Nick into hot water a few years back. (Lack of effort, swearing, rude remarks.) And if you look at the unintentional hitting of a lines person that got Djokovic ejected from the USO in 2020, and then look at how intentional and aggressive Zverev's action was, which could have gone worse...he has to be ejected from the tournament and sanctioned in a big way. IMO, they should keep him out of IW and MIA, at the least.

Still no word from the ATP/ITF on the abuse of his former girl friend, this so called investigation has been going on for months with no resolve. The latest I heard the former girl friend has not heard one word.
Agree this was a blantant and intentional act from Zverev....enough is enough, what kind of message does he send to the rest of the ATP tour? and also rising junior players?....what kind of so called role model?
Keep him out of the game with a sanction if he does this again suspend him for the rest of the year.

I actually want Kyrgios to speak about this incident. I hope he doesn’t stay quiet especially if ATP doesn’t do anything about it.
