This means he gets seeded at Slams. TC already talking him up as future #1. They mention that we haven't had a teenage #1 since Nadal, and Alcaraz has 2 years to do it. He was terrific today.

In Delray, Norrie beat Opelka in, (wait for it...) 2 tie breaks.
Norrie served really well and the tree had no answer on ROS when he did get a look at a 2nd.

Playing in Dubai, Murray's doing what he does best and that's to run himself ragged! O'Connell should have finished him off in straight sets, but Andy eeek'd out the 2nd set! Murray's limping around uncomfortably, but it's hard to feel sorry for him playing that stupid, defensive game of his! He's reaching back to hit his server harder, now he's reaching for his back! A real idiot out there on the court ladies and gentlemen! :facepalm:

Smart scheduling from FAA here

I wonder why Tsitsipas don't follow what other players are doing which is take a mental and physical break from playing tennis.

Murray won 6-7, 6-3, 7-5

Fiero, his body to choose what he does with it.

I hear you that his grinding style of play would seem to be counterproductive for longevity, but on the other hand, it’s always been his MO and it looks like on a good day he can still be competitive with players outside , say, the top 50. IN fact this year alone he's beaten top 45 players in matches already on 5 different occasions, (including several top 20 players) so there is an upside, even if I agree with others who say he won't scale his previous heights (top 10 player at the least). He can at least get into the Majors this year without a WC.

Andy is ranked #89, I think it's plausible he could be top 50 in a few months, and if he can reach and stay in the top 50 for a couple of years , with his name cachet and sponsors, who like a playing profile player to market, he can gross a few million. Not bad, huh

Novak had some rust on him, but not much. He had some trouble with the 2nd serve, but Musetti never capitalized on more than a few break chances. And Novak managed one of his patented over head smashes into the net.

Novak was asked if he was going to play IW ,he said No at present he would not be allowed...though things can change in coming weeks. At least Novak isnt going to try what he did in Australia,to play in a tournament unvaccinated and appears to be abiding by the rules of a tournament.

I realized that the wording on this was not clear. Musetti had more than a few break chances, but didn't capitalize on any.
