I hope he is not back to that Felix that loses in finals..Felix should have broken Rublev and captured the 2nd set. He is beating himself.

The Russian made less UFEs and deserve to win the match. Felix needs to clean up his inside out FH which shouldn't be hard. Taylor Townsend said it during yesterday's women's match yesterday. It's about putting foot to ball which Felix didn't do well today. Nothing against Rublev, but those balls were not hit too hard and Felix has ample time. He will figure it out. This umpire is doing weird stuff..
I can't access the link ..what did Stan say? I know he said previously that he was a bad matchup for Novak's tennis playing style. What Stan thinks and says about Nadal
'He has written history' - Stan Wawrinka says Rafael Nadal is incomparable after 'exceptional' Australian Open triumph - Eurosport
Stan Wawrinka says Rafael Nadal cannot be compared to other tennis players after the Spaniard claimed a record-setting 21st Grand Slam at the Australian Open.www.eurosport.com
Besides another good things he says "Nadal has written History, he is incomparable to others tennis players after excepcional AO triumph and what he has achieved in his career despite his injuries"I can't access the link ..what did Stan say? Now up 5-1The kid (Alcaraz) takes the opener from Shortman 6-4
This means he gets seeded at Slams. TC already talking him up as future #1. They mention that we haven't had a teenage #1 since Nadal, and Alcaraz has 2 years to do it. He was terrific today.Well done to 18 year old Carlos Alcaraz winning ATP500 Rio title winning 64 62 over Diego Schwartzmann
Carlos will make a Top 20 debut next week winning the title
Technically he has only 4 more slams to be a teenager..he turns 20 May 5 2023..He is like my daughter, a Cinco de mayo baby .This means he gets seeded at Slams. TC already talking him up as future #1. They mention that we haven't had a teenage #1 since Nadal, and Alcaraz has 2 years to do it. He was terrific today.
In Delray, Norrie beat Opelka in, (wait for it...) 2 tie breaks.
Actually, the youngest male world number 1 was Lleyton Hewitt at 20 years and 8 months so Alcaraz has until January 2024 to achieve that feat. If Alcaraz does win a slam before 2023 RG, he will be the first male teenager to win a slam since Nadal. This means he gets seeded at Slams. TC already talking him up as future #1. Yes, I clearly reported that all wrong. Thanks to you and A-P for the catch, but Alcaraz is a rising star, clearly.Actually, the youngest male world number 1 was Lleyton Hewitt at 20 years and 8 months so Alcaraz has until January 2024 to achieve that feat. No doubt he is a rapidly rising star. Personally I have always thought that another thing that ads to Rafa's legend. Its been almost 17 years since we seen the last Super Teenager!Yes, I clearly reported that all wrong. Thanks to you and A-P for the catch, but Alcaraz is a rising star, clearly.
And they are Taurus like me (May 12)Technically he has only 4 more slams to be a teenager..he turns 20 May 5 2023..He is like my daughter, a Cinco de mayo baby .
Yes.I just got home again.Carlos had to play back to back matches the day and night before he played the final today. This means he gets seeded at Slams. TC already talking him up as future #1. News just in,
Carlos Alcaraz has withdrawn from Acapulco
Well seeing he is just 18 years of age and he had to play back to back matches with rain delay before playing the final the next day,I can understand why he withdrew...he is the youngest to win a ATP500 title,so I think at this stage we can give him a pass.Maybe he knows his limitations! When these guys go far and are lucky enough to actual win a title, they can't keep it going! They break down so it's almost normal to avoid the next tournament after a good run! The real SuperMEN of tennis are fading away so we need to get used to this stuff! Consistency is a thing of the past!
