It may not be the same issue, with his right wrist, as JMDP's first one was with the right wrist, as well, but delPo did try to rehab for a long time without surgery, but finally had to have it, which kept him out even longer. I certainly hope that Thiem doesn't have the bad luck that Juan Martín had with wrist(s). Look forward to seeing him back at IW.
Well Thiem opted to have alternative therapies on his wrist,at one stage saying he did not need wrist surgery, still he is having problems with his wrist, having to with draw from small clay tournaments, citing his wrist is still not 100%,having pain in his hand.
BTW Thiem has not played since the Mallorca Open in June 2021.

I am more interested on his mindset about sacrificing trophies so he doesn’t get the vaccine shot.

I wonder how long can he keep that conviction or mindset…

Let’s just hope the other tournament directors don’t bow down to his requests.
Quite frankly I cannot see that happening....no player is bigger than the game of tennis and that includes Novak Djokovic. We are still in a world wide pandemic.Novak has the right to his opinion. The tournament director of Monte Carlo also mentioned the other day the tournament is more important than any one player, and if Novak is vaccinated,he would be welcome to play.

I agree. Let’s see if he is able to play RG and USO later on this year!

Things will change by summer, and hopefully sense will prevail regarding vaccination requirements. But! Why didn’t he do this in Australia? Why not stand by his principles there? I’d have admired him to the hilt if he had. Instead, lies, lawbreaking, trying to cheat…what a fool…

I have to agree with you in part,if Novak stood by his principles,in Australia and did not come,I also would have admired him.In saying that there are still too many unanswered questions regarding Novak and the debacle that happened before and after he left Australia for me.

Well that’s for sure, but most of them wouldn’t have been issues had he stood by his principles then. The only outstanding point would have been his looseness with the law in Serbia…

That wouldn't have been an issue either, I don't expect, if no one was looking at the dates on his covid certs and comparing them to social media. He wouldn't even have to have disclosed that he had covid.

Congratulations to Djokovic fans, your hero officially believes in changing water molecules with emotions and in Energy Pyramids instead of science. lol The vaccine is safe and nothing stays in the body, it's just a protein that the body makes antibodies for and then the protein is gone. But Djokovic thinks he is protecting his body and that he knows better than science. He knows how to hit a tennis ball but otherwise he's just completely clueless. lol

Because he had to test the waters and see if his celebrity would get him in. You know the old saw, "people will only do to you what you allow." Aus didn't allow it and now he knows. And usually as one slam does, the others normally follow suit.

The whole if you recently tested positive for COVID gives you a medical exemption because supposedly your body builds antibodies is flawed. There were cases in the USA where a woman tested positive 4 times for Covid pre vaccine vaccination shot availability February 2021. Is it possible that Novak is a super spreader carrier of the viruses?

Novak is crazy but not so much, he knows that things are going to change soon because thanks to the vaccine everything is improving more and more and in a couple of months even they will have to follow the protocols and regulations he will can to play, remember my words!
