I just got home for a longer then usual night shift

I am not surprised that Murray is skipping the clay season, lateral movement on clay is punishing in ways and with Murray with his metal hips....I feel it is not a good idea.

Lets see if the Potty King gets rid of his dad as a coach,I feel he needs a proper coach to take him to the next level.

Sahsa loses a 3 set tournament? colour me dead lol!

So much for the "low-hanging fruit." Zverev went down meekly? to Bublik, 4 and 3. SMH.
I didn't see the whole match, but he clearly underestimated Bublik. He thought he could waltz into the final and that the last match was simply a formality. His opponent must have felt the same way I did, "what are you doing here" and sent him packing rather quickly.

I don’t know that skipping clay entirely is a good idea. I don’t think he needs to play RG, but some smaller clay tournaments may not be a bad idea. I understand it’s impact on the body, but Andy’s big problem is match play.

Agree he needs match play,he did say he might look at playing clay next year, probably saving himself for the grass season

I also feel Sasha needs a new coach, not his father or brother
I read he felt a lot of pressure at the AO to perform
As BJK said 'Pressure is a Privilege'

Not too long ego Tsitsipas said that he, Medvedev and Zverev will be the future Big 3, hmmm.... I'm not sure about it, there are others young players which are playing well too

Would have sounded less hubristic and before-time if Medvedev had said it. Tsitsipas look both close, and really far away, particularly Zverev. This really does make me want to see the youngsters jump over Stephanos and Sasha.

João Sousa beat Ruusuvouri in the final in Pune. Old guard over new guard. Ramos Viñolas still playing the final in Córdoba v. Tablio, just to round out the week.

(@mrzz: I put in the tilde above, just hoping it would bring you back. :rose: )

Some random thoughts working through the draw challenges for Buenos Aires, Rotterdam and Texas:

Buenos Aires:
I felt bad to pick Delbonis over del Potro, but how could you not?
Fabio Fognini is in BA, but he hasn't done much in a while. Likewise Paire is in...who knows what to do with either?

Dallas:
Querrey v. Anderson first round.

Rotterdam:
Jo-Wil Tsonga in. Along with Murray and Goffin, in the "oh, they're still playing?" group. Sorry to say that, but....I gave Murray a round.
