Poor Team World — they’re so desperate to beat Team Europe, they even contacted me. I told them I have asthma and require two different inhalers. They said it doesn’t matter.
Seriously, two of the big three should be put into a draft lottery bag and play with team World.

I am happy that Sinner has now Darren Cahill as his coach, look what Darren did for Amanda, who I know is one of your favorite players, Sinner has had injuries this year, which hasnt helped his cause and also COVID, Sinner needs to go to the gym and get strength training and putting on some muscle, probably now in the off season.
Our game today is 80% mental you can have all the shots in the world, though if your mind wanders, there goes your game, which is exactly happens to The Young Greek.
Darren Cahill definitely has a great reputation as a coach. He did help Amanda a lot to get where she is today. I think Jannik and Amanda are around the same age so it should be a great team for Sinner.

One thing I have really worked on since I was a little girl is my mental game. Yeah I am only 14 years old and I still have a long way to go with it and really my game as a whole, but my mental game has gotten through some matches.

Well may I say for a 14 year old you are mature beyond your years, your mind at times can help you get through matches, and that will bide you well into the future.

Thanks so much. I have been playing this crazy game since I was 5 years old. There are times when I still get upset a lot with the way I play and I think about my matches or play for way too long after the matches are over. I still need to work on things with that sort of stuff. I try not to show much negative emotion on the court.

I think we are all guilty of showing some negative emotion on the court, regardless of age, this is just a human normal reaction, as long as it dosent last too long, then it can become a problem lol!

When the negative emotions start affecting the match overall that is when it is really out of control. There are times and I mean plenty of times where I will talk to myself between points, but by the time the next point is about to take place it is time to focus on that point. My coach says that you should focus on every point. The points that happened before you can't get back so don't let them affect the ones that are going to happen.

Your coach is 100% correct ...just focus on one point at a time,....take a leaf out of Rafa's book, that is how he plays all the time

That is why he is the GOAT on the Men's side of tennis in my book. That and he always gives 1000% in every match.
Well I have been following Rafa when he first came on the tour, I have also been lucky over the years to watch him live many times especially in his back year Roland Garos,.I really dont believe in the Goat's in tennis, there are too many variables, still after Rafa retires, let the well educated tennis journalists in our sport give their views.I think he is the 'greatest competitor to play the sport of tennis', a lot of the former tennis players, like Pete Sampras have said the very same thing of Rafa.I mean look what he did at the AO earlier this year, never write him off, do that at your own peril.

That is the thing about Rafa. I don't really know much at all about players like Pete Sampras or other older players, but I have gotten to watch Rafa since I was little and you are right, he is a fighter and should never be counted out. His stats speak for themselves as well that is for sure, especially on Clay. So lucky you got to go to Roland Garros. The only Slam I have ever gone to is the US Open.

Well you have time to visit the other GS, as I live in Sydney, I often go to the AO, which is another good GS to visit in Melbourne

I'd love to visit all 3 other Slams for sure. The main one on my list is Roland Garros though.

I was brought up on clay so it is my favorite GS, also Rome tournament is another great clay tournament to go to/

I really want to travel around Europe when I get a little older. I know I will get to that. Now Australia will be more of a challenge since it is so far away, but maybe someday. I have played only once on a Clay court and it was very weird. I have only played on Hard Courts. I have never seen a Grass Court, but my parents are thinking of taking me to Newport, Rhode Island and the Tennis Hall of Fame where they have grass courts so I can see them there. I have also been to the tournament in Washington D.C..

Well for such a young lady you have done well.I understand playing a clay can be weird especially when you have only played on HC, to me it is the best surface to learn to play on, you learn how to construct a point, also on clay your footwork is a must, it also helps you on the other surfaces, also clay is also good for your focus and the mental side of your game. Also coming from clay to grass is always a challenge

The thing when I did play on clay that got me the most was the footwork. The whole sliding thing was not my biggest fan. Sliding into shots, I just could not get.

It takes practice though you will have to find a clay court, that is the best practice
