My betting days are done, after I lost both bets at Wimbledon...Ouch.
I lost a good few last few days but even experienced betters will tell you they often lose 10-12 straight. Like a clown I had Isner v Cressy < 29.5 games at first which incidentally was the end result but last minute changed to Isner for the win based on him looking good in his last match. The match starts and straight away he has a calf issue, can barely serve and loses the first set 6-2. It was a miracle he won set 2 and got back on track so cashed out and only lost €3.15 in the end. Had Baez and Cressy as a double and Baez lost pretty badly. Only tiny ones anyway. Sticking to €10 mostly for now. Had €20 on Isner at 2.1 and cash out value went back up to €16.85 and I cashed out.

Let's say someone usually only bets €10 or €20 per bet and loses 10-12. Then they backed Cerundolo and Baez outright like many did and massive payout which more than makes up for that.

Well played Cressy. I had him to win at first as a single but changed my mind for the lower odds over 25.5 games thinking it would be close which it definitely was. Didn't look like it would be after set one but that had a lot to do with Cressy's terrible serving in set 1.

Interested to see how Thiem does in Hamburg. 2nd clay tournament in a row for him now.

So Cressy wins it, great effort. Bublik, always charming with the crowd and reporters, I'm being sarcastic here. I never heard a player get booed for saying he wasn't interested in eating a lobster roll! Or, telling spectators to shut up between points while they were talking on their cell phones. Tennis Channel watchers may have noticed the network actually showed the "culprit" who may have been talking.

But getting back to Cressy, I noticed he is only a year older than Tommy Paul. I believe this victory will put him at an all time career high ranking, I am wondering if this effort will get him seeded at the US Open. Certainly "old school style" of play......

He’s now No. 33, so there’s certainly the possibility of being seeded in NYC.

Two Italians tournaments to get the license of the two Russian events,
Italy is going to host another ATP250 after Naples ( who replaces Kremlin Cup).
From October 10 to October 16, Firenze is going to host an ATP tournament for the first time since 1994.It will be the 22nd edition ( 1973-1994,2022).

Alexander Zverev says he has 'not given up' on playing the US Open this season as he continues his work to recover from surgery.Last week he posted a video on social media of him walking without crutches, and he has now set himself a lofty goal to be back for the US Open. If that dosen't work out, he wants to return for the Davis Cup in Hamburg in mid-September.

Remember the crazy fast recovery from knee surgery Fritz had, so you never know. Being able to play and having a chance there though are two different things. Hope for the best for him. Played a blinder at the French open against Nadal.

They are young and heal fast...plus they have a huge team to make it happen. He might just.

I didn't see any of it, but happy Cressy won. As to the above, saying that you're not interested in eating a lobster roll in New England is not only a crime against one of life's great pleasures, it was an unforced error in front of that crowd. What is it with men's players these days?? Are they TRYING to be disliked?

Sasha is still in a moon boot,he has just come off crutches, and walking very slowly, he fractured 3 bones in the top part of his foot, so we shall see., sometimes a 'clean break' is easier to heal than a fracture

They don't cut the knee up like they used to! Plenty of arthroscopic procedures barely need an inch incision! At his age, recovery's quick! :shushing-face: :ambulance:

That is Incorrect.
Knee Arthroscopy is used to get a better look at cartilage, bones and soft tissues inside your knee. They use this procedure to diagnose several types of knee injuries, the camera shows images inside your knee to make a diagnosis, which helps the doctor to male a correct diagnosis of your injury.,then the doctor decides if a more invasive surgery is required.

If that's the case, then, more than likely, he won't play Canada and Cincy in a couple of weeks. If so, then Nadal just need to reach the Quarterfinals of Canada Masters to overtake Zverev as the number two ranked player in the world going into the US Open.

Novak Djokovic can't play the Canada Masters unless he gets vaccinated, confirmed by Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister for Health.

The minister for health should resign immediately seeing as it doesn't stop you catching covid even after 4 jabs. The world is nuts. Djokovic's career is being decided by politics and not science unfortunately but I admire him for his persistence.

Canada has a vacuous boy prince as premier, an intellectual speck of dust, so it’s not surprising they ended up with a vaccine travel mandate. Typical of the man, protesters to his covid policies were called racist - natch - and had their bank accounts frozen, by this liberal beacon of shining pus. Now they’re still in the slow lane, among the nations that still require a vaccine for entry.

None of this is surprising, and Canada, like the States, won’t change this mandate this year. You know, I actually want Novak to play the North American summer because I always fancy Rafa against him there, and there’s more glory in beating a fellow Big 3 anyway. I don’t think it’s unfair that he’s excluded though - it would only be unfair if he was being singled out by this policy, and he isn’t…
