Just some updated news regarding Zverev.......as I did see a picture of him yesterday wearing a 'moon boot'.

Zverev did undergo surgery to repair his ligaments. All 3 of his lateral ligaments in his right ankle were torn.Surgery was the best choice.Time for rehab.Goal should be to return before the US Open but won't be easy.

The ATP has also approved the expansion of 3 more of its Masters 1000- Madrid, Rome and Shangai-into longer bigger events in 2023, 12 day 96 draw tournament.Canada and Cincinnati will follow in 2025. ( there has been rumors the the Cincinnati tournament is up for sale and Roger Federer's company could be the buyer, Tony Godsick lives in Cincinnati, apparently).
ATP Cup will be held with 24 teams in 3 cities again (Perth,Brisbane and Sydney)
ATP Auckland tournament which was cancelled in 2021,2022, ( due to COVID) back as well

Any tennis ATP or WTA in the Chi this Summer?

They've tried their best since the 70's, but only the ladies had a winning event with the Vrginia Slims starting in '71! I saw Court defeat Navratilova in '75! The men weren't as successful and events came and went! In '75 I watched Roscoe Tanner defeat John Alexander on a court built on the surface of Soldier's Field! The biggest event for men was an exhibition of McEnroe and Connors that went 5 sets and took forever with both players walking off the court in a huff due to the officiating back in 1981! GAWD I'm old AF! :pleading-face: :astonished-face::shushing-face::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

I know there will be a combined ATP and WTA event in summer,Citi, from July 30th- August 7th
Hey MM, is that Citi event in Chicago? I thought it was held in Washington D.C. I only bring it up because I attended one year when visiting the nation's capital.
