I thought they don't play on Sunday..I know that one year they played because of all the rain
Only if the whole draw is behind they'll play on Sun to get the tourney back on schedule. They have 2 roofs now, I don't think you'll see play on the middle Sun again. Although they are saying the forecast is not good for tomorrow.

Good points. BTW..very clean match by Madison.
Madison played a very clean match ..29 winners. 19 ufes. Served 71 percentage first serves and lost serve only once. A straight set victory

It really was a good performance. Elise can be difficult to hit through because she does everything well and doesn't make many errors.

I know Margaret will be upset but I prefer Jabeur's game over Ash...Ons isn't going to let you camp behind the baseline. You're correct, she is very frustrating. Good tennis IQ
Why would I be upset,I know you have never been a fan of Ash,that is okay by me,I also happened to be a big fan of Ons and was delighted she won today,

Day 6 Saturday,interesting match-ups.

Coco Gauff (20) vs Kaja Juvan. These are two of the three youngest left in the draw.
Coco in 2019 reached the 4th rd at Wimbledon.
H2h 1 all Coco won in Adelaide earlier this year.2 years ago Juvan prevailed in a qualifying victory at Roland Garros.

Ash Barty (1) vs K.Siniakova.Barty to me has been less impressive in her two previous matches, though she has found a way to win.
Siniakova had a great tournamernt in Bad Homburg, reaching the final, losing to the winner Angie Kerber.Ash and Katerina have met in doubles, this is their first meeting in singles.( Siniakova and her doubles partner B.Krejeikova are the reigning RG doubles champions).

A.Kerber (25) vs A.Sasnovich. Angie Kerber has been in the 'tennis wilderness' for a couple of years, she is a former Wimbledon champion in 2018.Kerber recently found some form winning the grass title in Bad Homburg,Germany.
Sasnovich was Serena Williams 1st rd opponent,Serena had to retire with a leg injury.Sasnovich best results at Wimbleon 4th round in 2018.

Jelena Ostapenko vs Ajla Tomljanovic. After winning at Eastourne on grass,Jelena is on a seven match streak on grass, can she make it a eight match streak when she plays Aussie Tomljanovic,?,who defeated the tricky Alize Cornet in 3 sets. This is Tomljanovic's best result to date at Wimbledon making the 3rd rd.Ostapenko leads their h2h 1-0 on clay in Rome earlier this year.

B.Krejcikova (14) vs A.Sevestova.This is their first meeting.Barbora is one of my favorites to win Wimbledon as I feel her overall game translates well on the grass.,she has won the Wimbledon Doubles with her partner Siniakova in 2018.,she is the reigning Roland Garros Singles champion and also Doubles Champion.

A.Pavlyuchenova (16) vs Karolina Muchova.
H2H 2-0 Pavlyuchenkova, though this is their first meeting on grass.

S.Cristea vs E.Raducanu (WC GRB) ranked 338th.First meeting.
Sorana defeated Azarenka in 3 sets, appears to be playing well on the grass, her opponent Raducanu made short work of Marketa Vondrousova 62 64.

Hopefully Osaka or any other female players EVER has to endure the scrutiny that the Williams Sisters has over the past 22 yrs .
Richard instilled strength in the sisters and they inherited his fierce nature.Osaka has to develop a backbone on her own and learn to look fame in the face.I think she is struggling with this new found fame...being pulled in different directions.

I hope so because that young lady"s heart is pure, sincere and spot on..it isn't easy being young in this big mean at times world..I Always tell my daughters, send your detractors to your Dad, I can handle it. You just continue to live and enjoy your special young life .
