It's not that I'm not a big fan of Ash..she is a great player..
Antipusher, like you I like Barty’s game, but my goodnes, the way the media gushes over her game you would think she was the second coming of Evonne Goolagong. The ooohing and aaahing over her versatility, finesse, etc. etc. Personally I don’t think she‘s yet proven she’s on the caliber of Osaka, etc.

I remember a few years ago when neither were yet Majors champs she played Naomi Osaka at the AO and ESPN’s Pam Shriver was going on and on and on about the promising Barty and her versatile game ad nauseam that she barely had time to mention Naomi winning the match.

^ Jelenafan you have made your comments clear before on Ash Barty. saying she should not be the No 1 player, even though I have pointed out it was the revised rankings of the WTA, due to COVID-19,not Ash Barty's fault,I also pointed out to you that Osaka and Halep had the chance of over taking Ash,when Ash did not play, both of them did not take their chances...Noone has said she is the caliber of Osaka.
Barty Is Not The Second Coming Of Evonne Goolagong to begin with, even Ash has said that herself? so stop making up rubbish? you are just showing your contempt of Ash at Wimbledon and Evonne by the way.
Evonne has been a mentor to Ash Barty by the way.Ash is actually wearing an outfit worn by Evonne at Wimbledon this year, she rang and asked Evonne if she would be okay with that? that is the respect Ash has with Evonne

Coco Gauff is the youngest woman left in the draw.At 17 years 119 days old,Coco is aiming to become the youngest woman to reach QFs since 2004,(Sharapova won at 17 years,76 days).
Youngest woman to reach Wimbledon QF since 1993 (Capriati 17 years,97 days).

Perfectly posted. Thanks JF..

Ash Barty is extremely extraordinary talented player. I hope she and Osaka gets an opportunity to face each other in Grand slams Finals.

For the first time in more than 30 years, two Australian women have advanced to the fourth round

Really JF perfectly posted? that is your opinion btw.,not mine.JF has already made underlying comments regarding being the No 1 player, saying Ash Barty is the second coming of Evonne Goolagong is holding Ash in contempt, not to mention Evonne.Ash has said on many occasions she does not want to be compared to Evonne,as she holds Evonne in high esteem, has not come close to her records.
Evonne is a mentor of Ash.Just read my post to JF under JF post to you.It states in full my explanation.

For this first time in more than 30 years, two Australian women advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon. The last time this happened in 1989,when Jo-Anne Faull and Hana Madikova made the round of 16.
If Ash Barty and Ajla Tomjanovic have a chance to create further history should they win their fourth-round matches they will face -off in the q/finals.The last time all Australian Q/final clash in a ladies single draw at Wimbledon was in 1980,when Evonne Goolagong-Cawley defeated Wendy Turnbull during her title winning run.
