News Release...........ATP/WTA Statement one one-week postponement of Roland Garos.......8th April,

"Tennis has required an agile approach to the calendar over the past 12 months in order to manage the challenges of the pandemic, and this continues to be the case. The decision to delay the start of Roland Garos by one week has been made in the context of recently heightened COVID restrictions in France, with the additional time improving the liklihood of enchanced conditions and abililty to welcome fans at the event. Both the ATP/WTA are working in consultation with all parties impacted by the postponement to optimize the calendar for players, tournaments, and fans in the lead up to and following Roland Garos.
Further updates will be communicated in due course".

Wow, Musetti prevails 6-1, 1-6, 7-6(8) over top seed Evans at the Sardegna Open. The TB was crazy, with Musetti escaping 4 Match Points in the TB, including have the brass ones to play an impeccable FH drop shot at 5-6.

I tell ya, like I've said before , sometimes a clay court can just be a dusty HardCourt....
If they put clay over concrete, it kind of is. Have no idea how they built those courts, but you can be pretty sure it's not at altitude like Madrid.

I only saw the score line, but thanks for the recap. I'm hoping the best for young Musetti.

At the Andalucia Open, It's an all Spanish buffet :

So we don't forget the other young buck, 17 year old Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz upset #3 seed Caspar Rudd, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the SF's , where he'll meet his fellow Spaniards, Carreno Busta, Munar & Ramos Vinolas.

Well we knew they're not going to change unless Roger Federer said it would be better for the players.

Unfortunately, no good signs for the clay season and RG.

Gael Monfils also withdraws from Serbia Open.

I am not surprised that Gael has withdrawn, like he had to at MC
At least Dom is listening to his body,to me he has always over played tournaments, also when you are approaching your 30's injuries dont heal as quick.

If it's not a big deal, Dominic could do with going into RG fairly rested, for a change. We'll see. I hope that Gael is going to come back to the tour healthy soon.
