I read both Jarry's and Farah's explanations. They seemed pretty consistent. Farah's point is also based that the level found on him is consistent with level (extremely low) of anyone consuming Colombian meet.

Jarry blamed a vitamin supplement made in Brazil. Well, I believe him...

Janowicz won 2 matches at a challenger but retired from his next one. Shame about all his injuries. He's coached by Thiem's ex coach Gunter Bresnik. Hasn't played for over 2 years.

They recently asked Karen Khachanov who will replace Big 3 and he said besides him, Medvedev, Rublyov, Zverev, Tsitsipas & Shapovalov.

That made me laugh because some tennis fans couldn't stand one Serbian winning, so to get 5.5 Russians replacing Big 3, that's exactly what they deserve if you ask me. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

How do you feel about possibility of watching tennis dominated by a bunch of Russians after Big 3 retire?

That's 3 Russians, 1 German, a Greek and a Canadian. Personally, I don't think Khachanov is much more than a spoiler. Not sure about Shapo, either, but I think FAA will be up there. Wassup, Mastoor? Where ya been? You're such a fair-weather friend. And you still have that chip on your shoulder, I see. I guess carrying it around prevents you from typing into your computer. :rain:

Haha i have no Problems with that, but the Serbian should stay where he is, at least until he broke Rogers record with most weeks at no 1!

How you count 5,5?
Daniil, Karen, Andrej, the Fake german and the Fake Canadien. Who is the 0,5?
Tsitsipussy is origin Greek, not Slavic origin.

Crikey, with the "fake" this and the other, from you Novak fans. Kids who's parents chose to emigrate, or kids of mixed backgrounds (Tsitsipas's mother is Russian, FYI,) and you make them "fake," even when beyond their control. However, a person who does have in his control as to where he lives is Novak, and he choses to live in Monaco, so as not to pay taxes in Serbia. His choice. He drapes himself in the Serbian flag, yet pays no taxes there. Fake Monagasque, or fake Serbian?

Moxie, Homeland is not a place it’s a feeling.
Im not sure about Denis, but Giraffe is Fake German in this context.

Don’t know that about The Greek. Makes him much more of an asshole, calls Daniil a bullshit Russian? Ok he is young, emotional and stupid.

Novak is clearly fake monagasque, is Monaco even a real state? :face-with-tears-of-joy:
Where is Denis born? I know Miloš was born in Montenegro.

If it's a "feeling," then it's in the heart and you can't be the one that says what's in there, can you? Maybe all we have to go by then is the outward manifestation...i.e., what country they play for.

We can talk about this all day, but if you don’t have something like patriotic feelings, for whatever reason, you will never get my point.
Don’t get me wrong moxie, this is not right or wrong-stuff, just a way to look at things like that. Because of life experience, education and social influence.
Im sure you will at least agree with me, this isn’t stuff we should go deeper in, in this forum. It would be too personal.

I think it’s a great topic for a separate thread. I’ve often wondered about the impact of patriotism and fandom. It’s clear some people follow certain players/teams because they’re from their own country, while for others patriotism doesn’t factor into it. This is always especially on display during the Olympics.

I responded to this on a separate thread. I hope you'll come back to me when you have time.

Next weak will be interesting, Novak and Rafa will play 2 different tournaments. Novak must get one win less to Rafa, i think, to stay No.1. Than up to Wimby is all on Novak side, Rafa should defend many points.

Rafa has 3 SF results (Monte Carlo, Barcelona & Madrid) from last years clay court season that conceivably he could grab Potentially 1000+ points since 2 of them are Masters, ie winning at least one of them and making a final of another so we just have to see....
