Craig Tiley said he was counting on Australia's state and federal governments to relax border restrictions and grant special approval for players to go into a bio-secure training bubble, similar to what the US Open and French Open did recently,to prepare for the tournament but remain isolated from the public.
"If a player has to - be stuck in a hotel for two weeks just before their season, that won't happen." Tiley told AAP.
"You can't ask players to quarantine for two weeks and then step out and be ready to play a Grand Slam."

Hey, if you want to work and make that "big money" you make concessions! We heard belly-aching by NBA players about being in a bubble, but they were given that option! They could make half their salary staying home or they could actually compete for a few weeks and make their full salaries! No one's going to feel sorry for millionaires playing a children's game garnering hero adulation! Screw 'em! I feel the same about tennis; no one's putting a gun to anyone's head to do anything! I'm sure appropriate options will be forthcoming!

Novak Djokovic will not play Paris M1000,where he can't add points to his ranking.
Plans to play Vienna can add 500 and London 1300.

Smart move by him.
Bobo made also smart decision with skipping us open.
They play for records not money, and weeks at no 1 is one of the most important.
Roger will also lose this one!

Andy Murray has withdrawn from the second event in Cologne this coming week because 'inflammation of the left psoas muscle' (which is in the lower lumber region of the spine and extends through to the pelvis and to the femur),an issue he suffered after the USO.

Rolex Paris Masters 2020 facing adjustments to its scheduling after new coronavirus guidelines were issued by the French government. On Wednesday, the government imposed a curfew that would kick into place after 9pm in Paris and a few other major French cities. As a result of these new guidelines will need to ensure that matches end before 9pm.Up to 1,000 fans per day were allowed, although with these new guidelines from the government, officials may have to revise how many fans will be allowed to attend.

What an idiot! I just can't believe he hasn't tried to modify his game to accommodate his age and body's deterioration! Last I saw him on court, he went down to FAA trying to compete the same way he did a decade ago; just hustling and running down all that's sent his way! It made no sense as he was being pushed further and further behind the baseline as he's made to run "suicides" from side to side! I'm surprised he finished without his tongue dragging the court! :face-with-head-bandage:

I doubt he will play Paris Masters, where he will probably be granted a WC.I agree with you he will have to modify his game,or he will have these ongoing issues.

From Jon Wertheim in SI:

• The ATP has its prize money reductions approved for ATP 500 and ATP 250 events in the 1st Quarter of 2021 (i.e., prior to Indian Wells 1000). These prize money reductions follow the current measures used in 2020: 50% reduction for no fans on-site; 40% reduction for limited capacity (i.e., up to 50% capacity); 20% reduction for over 50% capacity

Cologne 2 Semis:
Long way for fake Italian Jannik to became top player, fake German Giraffe dominates him in 2nd set after winning the 1st in TB.
Oleksandar so inconsistent.

ATP100 Paris-Bercy main draw wild cards

Benjamin Bonzi
Hugo Gaston
Pierre-Hughes Herbert
Corentin Moutet
Bottom 3 seem good choices and rather obvious. Anyone know who Benjamin Bonzi is?
