Haven't heard anything about Querrey since that episode! He's probably being flogged as we speak! I just couldn't believe it when I heard! A year's suspension wouldn't be enough! I thought tennis players a little smarter than a basketball player who broke quarantine during the playoffs to go have chicken wings at a local strip joint! Haven't heard what happened to that clown either!

He’s probably still finishing his chicken wings. :D

I think if strip joints are still open it might be seen as supporting the economy to visit, and hopefully still practicing social distancing, but Querrey’s was a strange one, I agree, because I’m sure there were laws broke at both ends of his trip. I wonder if this story will blow up in that direction before Christmas?

I'm enjoying this podcast, Jimmy Connors and his son, Brett, talking tennis, previewing and reviewing tennis tournaments, interviews with Gary Player, Mike Tyson, Andy Roddick:

The Tyson interview is fairly compelling stuff, which is the way with Tyson, he's a grim, intense presence, a painfully honest man, and as is the way with Jimmy, he likes to talk of himself as a fighter, but Tyson brings it into a whole different territory, fight meaning that he knows he's ready to die in the ring, ready to kill, and how messed up it makes him. He's got a bigger world perspective than Jimbo, who sometimes in interviews lapses into a parody of a "fighter", comparing his hustling to life and death situations, but with Mike it was a much more terrifying and real thing. Bravery is needed in both sports but of course, a boxer gets hit in the face, with intent to knock him out.

It's good stuff, and both are great sportsmen and typical of them both in interviews, they're courteous and curious...

I don't have iTunes so I'll just have to take your word for it! I haven't seen or heard from Brett in well over 25 years! He would accompany Jimmy to Sacramento when he played WTT! Our club hosted that team and a number of players would hang out like Lori McNeil or Mary Jo Fernandez! I may have hit a couple tennis balls with Brett; average at best! He wasn't destined to play like Borg's kid! :)

It could be false too, in which case, she’d be the worst. He’s denied it...
Of course she needs to have proof of those horrible accusations. She says she doesn’t want money or something else but if it is true I don’t know why she likes to published it instead to do with more privacy

It’s hard to know the truth in these things, because even if there’s no proof, she could still be right. But the other side is, #metoo showed that an allegation is often enough to destroy somebody, even if it isn’t true. It was an unfortunate consequence of a movement that was bound to occur anyway due to Hollywood abuses. So we may not know the full truth and it could become tribal, regardless of what happened. It’s very unfortunate...

What else could he do? When accused, it's no better than being asked the question in a comedy routine: "have you stopped beating your wife?"

Exactly, and maybe there are mutual friends who’ll get dragged into this and have to call one of them a liar...

Except Pete did it six years in a row. Just sayin’ ...

I loved Sampras, as great a player as any I've seen...
They made a point of his 6 in a row on TC. Annacone said that Pete considered it his greatest achievement. He also said that you only get one chance at 6-in-a-row, and that may actually never be repeated.

Wow, it could be true all this story? then Zverev would be the worst

In the ATP rule book it states that players have an obligation 'to refrain from engaging in conduct contrary to the integrity of the game of tennis.
Some tennis journalists have stated "Maybe the tour should put inplace a set of polices covering abuse cases.
Nikoloz Basilashvili was charged and released on bail in a domestic-violence case involving his ex-wife,he returned to the tour in New York, after the lockdowns, and before his October court date (Basilashvili has denied the accusations).
In this case she has not press charges of violence to the police,(maybe she should),so these allegations are still subjective.

Maybe they should. But, in the meantime, I personally prefer not to speculate on these cases until more is known. Tennis is an individual sport, and does rely on the personalities and the conduct of its players for its reputation. If their off-court conduct is found to be egregious, then I believe the should be sanctioned. If it shocks people when a player doesn't put up her/his hand for a let, or declines to shake hands at the net, then, when proven, if they beat their partner, yes, they should be shunned by the sport, somehow.
