^ In 1970 Billie Jean King created the Virgina Slims Circuit with no help from any man? advocating equal rights for women.Maybe we need her voice and guidence now,she also was a voice in strong support for the ATP and WTA to merge together earlier this year.

I completely agree, we need a player of Billie Jean King's calibre to take a stance against the WTA side and break the players from it. I am 100% sure there are discussions being handled secretly between PTPA and the WTA Players. The bubble helps in that because all the players are there

Just got confirmed "There's an active dialogue with leaders within women’s tennis. Womens tennis, unlike any other sports, is equally as important as men's tennis. The association hopes in short order that women would have an active and equal involvement as it should"

Told you the bubble helps in this. The men took the first step to avoid leakages, if the women are brave and smart enough they will break out and join this

Pospisil was one of the players that wanted both ATP and WTA to merge, especially the woman, quite a turnaround coming from him, still I feel a lot of the male players did not want to merge, because of the equal play that women get now,I will be interested to see what Andy Murray thinks.
Pospisil has confirmed this was not the case

And he still is so...

where is the back flip?

Woman are not included in this new association he has broken away from the ATP players association,he came out strongly in support of women merging with the ATP earlier this year, woman are not included in this new association.....that is the 'back flip' one minute he supports woman, now he does not.I read his comments this year.I have to go,I have been working night shift at the hospital I need to sleep.

I just mentioned that they are in talks

"Regarding the involvement of women in the PTPA; there is active dialogue with the women’s side. We recognize the importance of women’s tennis and their involvement. This should be evident by the separate movement that started last year where we had suppprt from over 70 of the top 100 ranked from both the men’s AND women’s side. Also led by Novak and myself with Norton Rose Fulbright. The PTPA is at its infancy stage.. it will only grow from here"

So doesnt that just prove there is no back flip

I don't understand why there are so many talks on women not being involved and crap like that, this is 2020. Women don't need holding of men to get their job done. Talks are being discussed, the women will of course evaluate their situation and then break away and join this. They should not be put under pressure by men to join this as I am sure the men wanted to send the message as quickly as possible

You dont seem to understand what I am saying,
Ben Rothernberg a tennis journalist,is on Twitter said yesterday on Twitter that Pospisil was a strong supporter of women merging with the ATP earlier in the year and now women are not included in this new association,he has done a back flip, changed his mind.
Lets see how many players join this new association, read that Andy Murray won't be joining,he is a strong supporter of women in tennis and was disappointed they were not included.

On one hand, I’m impressed with his continued effort to get his body in shape (and keep it that way), but on the other hand, I‘m wondering when he’s going to realize he needs to move on from tennis.

I have always been a fan, though I feel his body was not meant to play the game of tennis. This is his 3rd surgery, now going into rehab,I hope he thinks seriously about retiring, there is life after tennis.

And I am again saying that there is no backflip because discussions have been taking place with women since last year. The women operate in a separate organization called the WTA. Their interests are different and talks are taking place as I mentioned and quoted in the NYtimes article written by Ben Rothenberg. So he wants a merger and as a result there is no 'backflip'

The people who are opposing this are actually the ones who don't want women to be a part of this

Go to Twitter and read what Ben Rothenberg said yesterday regarding Pospisil who was all in favor of a merger with women in the tour earlier this year.Woman are not included in this new association.I am over discussing this.Lets see what players sign up to this new association or union.Actually Roger Federer raised the question of a merger between the ATP and WTA as one.,earlier this year. There is a blog on this on this site, regarding the proposed merger I suggest you read it.BTW this merger of the ATP and WTA has been raised many years ago with no resolve.
Go to General Tennis Discussions and you will find the ATP and WTA Merger which was discussed in April this year.

Atttactive or not, I hope to see Kyrgios back on court. There are only 7-8 players I consider worth watching and he’s one of them
