This is what I mean about difference between night and day for Stanimal. If this was played at night he'd probably win. He doesn't fare well in faster conditions, opposite is true for Medvedev.

MD 4-1 2nd set ...who would have thought? with his physical issues

He forcing Stan to play outside his comfort zone and it is working so far.

This kid is impressive, Stanislas looks frustrated. Daniil not even fully fit.

I didn’t see the Wawrinka/Djokovic match, but based on what I’m seeing today, I’m wondering if the appearance of Stanimal the other night was a mirage, and that really was about Novak’s injury.

Nah, Medvedev would have crushed Djokovic too...

it could easily be that knowing this guy is injured is making Stan more passive than he needs to be. Meanwhile Med is just red lining, knowing that's the only way he wins this thing. It's working for him. I'm very impressed, this guy has big time skills at the back end of a slam when it matters

You were faster, wanted to ask the same.
Some experts in this forum really think stanislas could beat a healthy Novak in straights??
The only conclusion for them is a fake injury.

Lol Stan asked for the crowd to ramp it up at 30-30, Med responds with two big serves

I had such high hopes for this match. I thought it would be the most competitive and entertaining of the QFs, but this is a dud.

Since MD had the trainer to loosen on of his many tapes on his leg,it was too tight,is movement his better, also the pain killer he took is working.

I wasn’t watching what happened during the MTO and mid-1st set , he looks fine though

Trainer out for his left quad, got more tape and a pain killer, then in a break in player, the trainer came out and loosen the tape, then removed it,it was too tight apparently.

So, what will happen if Stan grabs this set? Can he come back from two sets down?
