Fully rested and healed up he may be an absolute beast on the AO courts now that they've been sped up. The GOAT race got a lot more interesting with him now in the mix to potentially deny the top guys their chance at glory.

Umm ... you’re getting way ahead of yourself there, my friend.

Where is @Fiero425 who predicted Medvedev to lose early after he won Cincy???
I got to rub it.. :)
In fairness to Fiero, I'm sure I said the same. I didn't really expect him to keep it together for this long, for sure. Nothing against him, just figured he'd melt away like the other up-and-comers when the rubber hit the road. I just got back from meetings and didn't see the match, but I was surprised by the outcome. DM held together by kinesio tape, supposed shoulder trouble, and I know he started out with serving woes. Surprised if Stan didn't really show up today. I dvr'd the match...is it worth watching?

Medvedev looks like he is going to faint on the court and is so skinny, some might say even weak, but then he delivers some powerful flat shots and you wonder where did this come from? He is so confident right now.

I really hope he jumps in the potential slam winners wagon, at least on the hard courts for now.

I'll take even a villain like Medvedev just to get a new winner out there! Not going t/b a hypocrite now; more power to the Next Gen'rs!

Yeah, but you're all about the Next-Genners now because Djokovic is out, innit?
