Both are taking it easier on the return games. This takes a lot out of the match

I hear the Federer-Wilander relationship has improved. For years, Wilander sounded jealous of Roger.

Sure backhandslapper. But Fed has NEVER been mediocre on a tennis court.

Yes but we are comparing young Fed to gramps Fed. There isn't a comparison really. Movement kills and naturally the guy you see today can't move like a 25 year old

I still think it's so important, when talking about the Big 3 to remember that Roger is 2 months shy of being 5 years older than Rafa and 3 months shy of being 6 years older than Novak.

Second best as in? What's that even mean when we are talking a 20 year career

the peRFect era was 04-07 (although I believed 07 was where he began stagnating a bit)

I can see what you're saying DarthFed. But, I guess it's just kind of like, no one is going to say that low 30s Fed that wasn't winning slams is better than older Fed that is winning slams. So you're right. But if all you're trying to say is current Fed or 2017 Fed is 2nd best Fed. Ok. Duh.

Roger was better in 2017 than any year since at least 2009. Aside from that I'd say 2018-2019 would rank pretty low
