Yep, seeding is a huge (major?) factor at the majors - the longer they can hold off playing the Big Three, the better. But they still have to get there, and still have enough to take them out.

Wilander and ... Fru I think, are having a nice conversation about Nadal still having the intensity he does at his age, day in and day out.

And how Wilander has talked about having that intensity until his mid twenties and then it just evaporated.

And this is something I've thought about a bit. I feel like guys like Wilander and most importantly Borg hit that stage where they lost it. And then they just sort of gave up and never got it back.

Especially Borg who just up and retired after losing the #1 ranking.

Love Frew as a commentator. Don't get to hear him down under. Wilander is a great in-match commentator... just talks tons of shit in his post-match show.

Well, and I think we all do. I started feeling it as early as 25. Especially once I noticed I was balding pretty seriously as such a young age.

BUT I feel like Fed, Nadal and now Djokovic ALL have been through that. Fed in 2008. Nadal in 2014 2015. And Nadal after his RG win in 2016.

My intensity. Well. Both actually. My hair hasn't come back either. But not the point. The point is I feel like guys like Wilander and Borg just gave up.

Where as all 3 of the Big 3 kept fighting because they could. Especially with all the physios and trainers to keep them healthy longer, they had time to get it back.
