Coric pulled out. Just doing the draw challenge and noticed he is not there anymore and saw some news after. Beretinni moves to his place and Struff went to Beretinni place and Schnur is a LL to play Baghdatis.

Well Berretinni has been playing decent but Coric always gives Roger problems.

Agree, I was thinking Coric could make an upset if he meets Roger, but now not so sure about Berrettini who is actually playing better. He was playing well before RG, but did nothing.

I will have to look for upsets somewhere else. Think Herbert might surprise Anderson, it makes a good headline, last year finalist out in R1.

I think Berrettini could be more dangerous because he has been almost unbreakable. He may have stage-fright, but if he plays loosely, he could trouble Federer.

That’s the thing — stage-fright, which Coric wouldn’t have had. I think Roger will be fine if he faces Berrettini.

The more I look in this draw trying to see which one of the big3 goes down earlier, the more I think that none of them will.

I think Mcfly could surprise at least one of the next genners, meaning he would have to beat Medvedev who had an easy win this year AO, but Goffin is playing much better now and Medvedev couldn't beat Simon in Queens.

Thiem Nadal would be nice to see again, but Thiem needs to step up against Querry.

I am leaning towards Evans surprising Cilic and making slightly easier path for Nadal.

This Struff guy and Fucsovics are hard to predict, they could go out early, but also make a few rounds too.

I don't know what to expect from Isner, he played nothing for months now, same as Berdych.

Discussion on the dark horse seems more interesting. Different opinions there, some think it's the greek, some FAA and some Wawrinka and Khachanov. The last two could potentially meet in QF and the winner gets to SF and probably Djokovic.

Grass is not Stan's favourite surface, but he could beat Raonic. Milos has much less match play than Stan and in such important clash not sure he could win it.

Berettinni has a toughest draw to make an upset against Fed and so does FAA against Novak.

Wow, lots of reshuffling. Struff had a good season and he is at his best. Good for him to be the first back up to get seeded.

If Roger loses before the finals it may be time to think about packing it in. He hasn't performed decent at a major in awhile, this figures to be the best remaining chance, especially with an easy draw.

But he won't pack it in unless he's not fit or drops out of top ten. He's simply making too much dough to walk away just like that. He doesn't have much to lose by staying on the tour as long as he pleases. He has been winning at the rate of 0.5 majors a year for a decade now. So another loss at Wimbledon - what's new?

Ok that could be said for any match. It’s not likely, nearly impossible for the Greek to win. He’s a joke.

He's a joke against players who are nobodies but he can't stand Nadal so he'll go all out to beat him. Close to 40 aces should seal the deal if he makes it to the 2nd round. That's the tougher match for Kyrgios unfortunately. The one he should definitely win is the one he's more likely to lose. Again though, he's got a point to prove so pretty sure he makes it to round 2.

It is about time they changed.Personally I think they should go on current rankings, not on how many Wimbledon titles a player has previously won.I would think the same if a no2 ranked player not named Rafa received the same treatment. No other Grand Slam tournament takes this stance. The draw has been done, time to move on.

No surprise there when all one has to do is look at who's on your avatar  Look, all the guy had to do to keep his number 2 seed was reach the 1/4 finals of Queens which was not asking much. It was all his choice at the end of the day. He did absolutely nothing to prevent Federer leap frogging him when the formula has been well known now for 17 years. It'll be ridiculous if they change it just 'cos of him and Djokovic who said it was surprising that Federer got the number 2 seed. It wasn't a surprise if he'd bothered spending even 1 minute to work out the potential seeding based on Federer winning Halle. People in power are too bloody weak these days and it will be sickening if they change the formula over these 2 when neither of them gave a shit about it before this year.

If you read my post,I said I would think the same of a No 2 ranked player not named Nadal for starters. So stop looking at my avatar,I know your not a Nadal fan.It is the only slam that takes this stance, quite frankly I think it is time a change.WTA does not follow suit.Rafa did make the s/final last year.Anyway the draw has been done.Lets move on.

The WTA do lots of pathetic stuff such as allow on court coaching which is laughable. Personally I'm all for tournaments doing their own thing. For example, the WTF does things differently and it makes it interesting.

I totally agree with you regarding on court coaching it is a complete joke,it is just spoon feeding players, part of the game is tactics and being able to change your game on court by yourself if need be.I also read they are thinking of doing a trial at the USO this year?.I think at a junior level on court coaching is okay, but at pro level no way.

Yup, if you can't work out how to beat your opponent then you should just lose. Coaches aren't meant to be there to help you during your match. It's the same as cheating in an exam.

It's a branding thing. Wimbledon has always done whatever it took to preserve its unique standing as the preeminent tennis tournament on planet earth. It gets to *define what a grass court should be* - as it pleases. Seeding is small potatoes. Wimbledon is bigger than ATP.

Wimbledon charges something like thrice the ticket price for mens' SF/F matches. It still pays the mens' and womens' SF/F players the exact same amount. So what's your suggestion there?

I totally realize that, still I am a person of change, just giving my 2 cents worth.I disagree seeding is small potatoes though, even though a draw is on paper, sometimes it does not do players any favors.By the way I do not believe there should be one rule for Wimbledon when the other GS go on the actual ranking of players.

If Wimbledon gets to decide what a grass court should be, according to you, then perhaps a lot of folks around here should stop complaining about the changing of the grass, if the much-venerated Wimbledon has the last word on all things.

As to your second-point, about ticket prices, I'm not clear what it is. Not really germane to the discussion of seeding rules, so why don't you clarify? EDIT: I actually just looked up the prices for the last two rounds of men's and women's. Women's SF are £160, men's SF £185; Women's final £185, Men's final £225. Not exactly the same, but not really enough to care. And certainly not 3x the difference.

I do think that the reason he is a threat to Nadal is that a) he get's it up for big players, and b) there's no love lost between them. Rafa doesn't have bad blood with many players, but he did with Soderling, and I'll always say that was a factor in why Robin beat him in 2009 at RG. Extra motivation against a top player does not hurt. Let's get out of round one first, but I do think you're right about why Kyrgios is dangerous, and it's not just his serve.
