That was early in the match, but as the match went on, Federer looked good enough to beat him. As the stats posted by Ricardo show, Federer had an upper hand in the match.

As a Nadal fan, I can understand your glee after Federer lost to Djokovic.

What glee? Notice i’m mainly hammering some of the garbage fed fan boys here who are saying silly stuff.. they are already accusing novak of being classless and that he didn’t deserve to win, based on stats. Fed fanboys are the worst fans ever.. so i enjoy hammering them for their stupidity.

It was a great match.. and djokovic is one of my favorite players, has been for a while. This is why when he started dominating nadal in 2011 i got into fierce discussions with nadal fanboys who were making stupid excuses.

Those stats are worthless as novak played horribly for two sets in one of the most bizarre dips in level i’ve seen. Stats in those two sets bring down novak’s overall stat.. what happened to him in that 6-1 2nd set had almost nothing to do with federer.. was bizarre. You know it. When both were at their top level, it was evenly matched. Novak clearly had upper hand from basline, roger on the serve.

Hahahahaha. What i saw today was a match where novak dictated what happened. Roger played a high level for 5 sets, djokovic played his top level for 3 sets, gave away 2 sets to fed. Isn’t it amazing that he still won? Shows you djokovic is KING. When he’s on, fed can’t beat him, when he’s off, fed sneaks in sets.

Watch out... 16 slams... we are getting tight!
his top level in those 3 sets, required TB donated by Fed who even Becker was saying dictated it. Again, who was the one who had set and match points and squandered? good for you that the 38yo choked, or you have nothing to gloat. it was a fukn curse that Fed would time and again gift it to Djoko in the biggest matches after holding match points. No one deserves to lose like that, and if you know tennis at all, you would not brag over such things.

Has Djoko or Nadal ever lost GS semi/final after holding match points? NEVER, especially not at Wimbledon (the most prestigious event), and also not to the other icons. Your belittling of Federer shows that you know truly who is the better player.

He just happened to choke, good for you Djoko fans.

He has 20 slams.. he will move on from this. It’s a stretch to say this was a tougher loss than the 08 loss.. that was a changing of a guard back then, this was just fed looking for a bonus slam.

IMO, everything has been a bonus for Federer since 2012 Wimbl.! He was making finals, but wasn't getting past either Nole or Rafa in finals until 2017 w/ a phenomenal resurgence! Right now, it's Nole's turn; winning 4 of the last 5 majors & moving ever closer to Fedal!

Had to follow the match via scoreline on the Wimbledon app and couldn’t see it, that was pretty tense.

Congrats to my fellow Djokovic fans, no 16 in the bag and 4 to go.

The McDonald’s crowd got what they deserved.

Despite everything, Roger is still a great champion. It's not the end of the world. He's won 20 GS and is still in shape for more (I am okay with 20 personally). It's ok if he retires tomorrow. There's a day for everything. He gave it time. A lot of time. He waited till every slam left in him was won. As far as the match is concerned, it was not meant to be. Good fortnight of tennis overall. I am happy about the Fedal match still. And at that point, I didn't care about this match. After seeing Roger's efforts only did I realise he was trying hard for this one. So, it was a tough loss for him no doubt. I can't say that Djokovic played the match of his life. Roger was great again today but there were a lot of mistakes too. It should not have gone to 5 anyway Roger was slack in TBs. Anyway. Congrats to Djokovic and Djokovic fans.

So its ok to ignore sets he lost fair and square? and you have numbers that Novak had better numbers in the other 3? he actually didn't, Fed was ahead of him even in those 3...…...ahead until he chocked when closing out. That is a FACT.

So it was not evenly matched, Fed being almost 6 years OLDER was the dictator until he CHOKED.

Now shut up and go back to watch it once again. Then say something with conscience.

2 match points and many other opportunities to win the match... B-)

Federer is now 4-10 and 6-10 against his 2 main rivals in slams... B-)

With Nadal and Djokovic much younger than him he will probably end at no.3 on the all-time list B-)
even as Rafa fan you can see that Fed lost the match he should've won.

And he did it being well past retirement age. It was quite incredible that he managed high level for 5 sets (high level except when closing out each of the 3 sets he lost). Was in a position to win in every set, only his serve or something deserted him when it mattered.

I don't even know how any sensible Federer fan can support him after THAT? Like can you use your common sense please?

Federer is finished. He is utterly OVER. And it's not anger or anything, it's just that. Federer is OVER.

You are in denial. When novak played his top level, he won 3 sets against federer playing his top level. When novak mysteriously went away in a very bizarre manner, roger sneaked in sets.

Why can’t you just appreciate the level djokovic showed, you are a pathetic tennis fan.

Yes, it’s driving rafa and fed fans nuts.. just read the comments. Pathetic not to appreciate the level both showed.. very angry fed fans here, unappreciative of the great match we saw. Pathetic.

So you were a Sampras fan, then moved to Nadal when he dominated Fed. When Djokovic started beating Nadal, you ditched Nadal and moved to Djokovic. Which means if another player comes and stops Djokovic’s progress, you may move back to Nadal. You are the most fickle fan on this forum,

I have watched Djokovic save two match points on Fed’s serve at the 2011 USO and no doubt I will watch those two championship points of today even more. :yahoo::clap:

You know who the better player was, in every set, even the ones he lost. Roger sneaked nothing, the sets he won were blowouts. Every set he lost, he was in a position to close out...…..what mysteriously happened was his serve went away in those moments, he ALLOWED Djokovic the chance to get back in.

Keep denying this fact, I will continue to expose you with FACTS. Djoko clearly played level below Fed's, despite being 6 years younger and much closer to his peak. Only a few fricking players still stay on tour at his age, and this guy just choked championship points...….if you have an ounce of conscience you wouldn't spit these bs.

Don't make us all laugh please. It took 12-12 and a 5th set TB for the world number 1 in his prime to beat a guy who is 38 in 3 weeks lol. It's the expected result but don't act like Djokovic is superior. He BARELY won and is almost 6 years younger and in his prime playing a guy who many thought would have retired years ago. Roger blew it, plain and simple. His legacy on the line and he blew it.

and keep wanking after the undeserved good luck?

you do know your guy was trying to cheat? he argued for replay after a clear winner from Federer. If you didn't watch the match, go back and watch again. There is a reason why a lot of fans don't like him.

i am laughing actually, as i knew that you guys were going to say he's an 'old' man (who beat red hot rafa in semis) if he lost but if he won, that he's so amazing. HAHA HA!
