Because it is school holidays in Melbourne and that means more people can attend,also that puts the whole tennis calendar out of wack

yes the tournament chief should come out of the dark ages and schedule the womens semis in the evening, therefor avoiding the hottest part of the day.

With the traditional lead-ups to a Major. Would be nice. Move up IW and Miami...no problems there.

If they would put the two women's SF on one day, they could be in the evening, with the 2 men's SFs on the next day, also evening. I don't understand the schedule.
