Of course I was talking about myself (not anyone else) though you could be surprised by the amount of Nadal haters ;-):
I don't think I'd be surprised. You're a vocal bunch. Also, rude, crass and incredibly self-involved.

I really feel that if Nadal plays his best, he should get this in 3 sets . Stylistically speaking there are only very few one backhanded players who can beat Nadal consistently or even pressure him. Despite his DTL backhand and height, Tsitsipas doesn't have the crushing cc backhand that stretches Nadal wide on his forehand that Novak kills him with. Nor is Tsitsipas naturally aggressive as a Federer or takes the ball on the rise and change direction like a Nalbandian/Davyendko or even Fognini to a lesser extent . Therefore he won't take time away from Rafa .

All that said, I don't think Nadal is playing particularly well, so I think your pick is probably the most likely outcome .
Rafa shouldn't lose unless he is injured, which he could be with all the stomach taping and reports of fragility on the ankle.

It looks likely to be another Djokovic vs Nadal epic final .
well Frew McMillan and I totally disagree with your assessment of Rafa’s level of play...my fear is that if some ungodly event like an injury or close roof detours Rafa like at SW19 (2018) semis..you will again rise to be this board’s favorite soothsayer..God help us all if that comes to fruition.

I'm not that vocal tbh.I don't want him to succeed but it's the same with you I'm sure(who would want their favorite player's rival to succeed?)

ETA- congrats on the victory anyway.

Not wanting your player's rival to succeed isn't exactly the same as being a "hater," imo. We can keep a bit of anti-juju or schadenfreude quietly to ourselves. However, if you're going to write it down, then you're a hater, which you just confessed to. Put it this way: to hate-watch is human. To express it is to be something of a dick. And in that, you're not alone amongst the Federer fans, so don't feel bad.

EDIT: I saw your addition. Thanks for the congrats. For the record, you make rather a terrible "hater." :)

Nadal also can win Wimbledon as well he showed that last year then he got robbed, nadal most likely goes in at Wimbledon with great chance of winning it. He's also the most humble hottest player on tour which makes this even better.

What the fuck is wrong with McEnroe? Seriously...Can he please stop verbally blowing Nadal's physique to his face? It's awkward as hell
All I can say to Rafa is the next time you’re in the locker room shower and Johnny Mac is lurking..Don’t Drop the Soap!...
Maccy lost all little credibility as a commentator that he had, after he brought his silly, disgusting voyeurism into the on-court interview. If he wanted to express admiration of Nad's body he could have done it differently, as others have done before. Honestly, Channel9 should dump him as AO commentator after that incident. They banned Kyrgios from playing for his comment to Waw. Maccy's comment was in the same category among reporters, so they should ban him from reporting.

Are you John McEnroe, or perhaps his ghost-writer?

Hard to keep up with the Aussie slang between Macca, which you love, and Maccy, whom you hate. But I agree...that was embarrassing. Courier may be a bit pathetic, and he has the new Tintin look, but he was slightly less embarrassing than that. Or, how about someone who's not an ass wipe at all? There must be someone in the tennis world.

Oh No I play for the other team so I'm only saying that women have told me about that topic So good news.
Based on that, I have no idea which team you play for, or what about that is good news.

Well. other youngsters (d-minor, tiafoe) looked not as bad in their test against Rafa version 2019, at least they did not eat bagel. Something strange is going on here: either
- Rafa is in his best shape ever and everybody, including Fed, would have lost this match comprehensively, or
- Tsi was "lost" (i.e. experienced a complete meltdown, especially in 3rd set, in which case my previous assertion about his poor mental strength is not unfounded)
or both above.
We will re-asses the former possibility after we watch he final (against Joker, because Pouille will be blown away like youngsters) maybe Joker will also be beaten comprehensively. Honestly I would not be surprised because I haven't seen Rafa playing so well for a long time.

As I posted above, others, in regards to Djokovic's less-than-ominous form to date, have reminded me that it's not how you play in the first week. The greats reserve something for the late rounds. I think this is what Tsitsipas came up against today. Rafa could afford to hold something back in the earlier rounds, but not much today. Today was to send a message for the final, and to win quickly enough to have something in reserve for it. Tsitsipas ran up against that, and didn't have enough for that, yet. Novak has had more occasion to look wobbly, but I admit that he's faced stiffer competition. I also expect that he's timing his efforts to tomorrow and for the final. I don't think Stefanos has poor mental strength. I think he was just vastly overmatched today. Nadal is on a mission, and Tsitsipas was a roadblock in his way. So he bulldozed over him.

How about an Aussie? It's not like there is some shortage of good players from the past. I don't know why they use McEnroe.

Yeah, it's not like he can't use the money either.
Fabrice Santoro recently has been doing the French. I think they should go local. Even if they go with a journalist.

Tsitsipas talks about how hard it is to face Rafa's strange game.
“The rest, it kind of felt like in a way it wasn’t tennis so much like the other matches that I played. It felt like a different dimension of tennis completely.

“He gives you no rhythm. He plays just a different game style than the rest of the players. He has this, I don’t know, talent that no other player has. I’ve never seen a player have this. He makes you play bad. I don’t know. I would call that a talent.”
