I kind of agree with this. Does he need to do a goodbye lap at RG? Esp. at the risk of his Wimbledon? As you pointed out, he's #6 in the world, ffs, and will be in the top listed of players to win W. He's in the game to win it. If he retires w/o ever playing RG again, so be it. He can show up and they can do him a nice video after.I hope he never plays RG again. Even at an awful level he is a threat at Wimbledon but coming in rested and healthy certainly would help his chances.
