TBH i have not seen much of Tiafoe apart from the hopman cup and when he was cheering on Serena Williams at the US Open final last year. So he's a promising american player on the rise , AYE ?

One of the Nextgen bunch - he's been around a little while. Moxie follows him quite closely. I think Nadal will beat him convincingly to be honest.

He was mostly pissed that Nadal stopped him in his service motion because he wasn't ready. A legit complaint.
Jaypers you are tiresome. You watch, but don't comment, then just save it to drop in to demean Rafa's character. Get a life.

I am a big fan. (He's a local boy of where I come from.) He looked so gassed...I was surprised he managed Dimitrov in 4, (though Dimitrov does play for the Manila Folders.) This is like 2-3 big steps up for Frances. He's been Q or WC, or a bit of main draw, but usually doesn't get out of first round of big tournaments. Thrilled for Frances today, on his birthday! Obviously, I can't root for him in the next match, but I don't think he's got much shot, especially as he looks so tired. Not a way to go into a match v. Nadal. But whatever, of the Next Gen, he has made a statement.

Can't remember who mentioned Cilic's serve times but he's averaging 28 seconds a pop here against RBA.

RBA blew a chance to serve for the first set.

They zoned in on him at Channel 9 heading back into the locker room. He looked like he was hobbling a bit.

I can't either, but someone did call him out as a sneaky slow one.

I think he's toast. I don't want him to be, obviously. I hope he makes a good showing v Rafa. But it seems like he's hit the wall. Well, he's a kid. He could recover.

They have not played before so nothing really just, nadal curse nerves.
Tiafoe is one of my NextGen faves. He's pretty much out of gas. I hope he makes a good showing v. Rafa, but I don't hold out much hope. I honestly thought his AO was over this round, but Dimitov is such a pushover.

McEnroe saying Tiafoe might be the next big name... can't say I agree. This fella coming up - Stefanos Tsipitas has better prospects, along with Zverev and maybe Karen Khachanov IMO.
