GSM probably not so interested. Rafa hasn't been out of the top 10 since April 2005. All of the other Big 3 have dropped out at some point, and Rafa passed Roger with most weeks in the Top 10, at least of active players, sometime last Spring. (May, I think...I believe @rafanoy1992 noted that one. He may know best.)

I believe Roger still has the lead over Rafa in most weeks spent in top 10 category. However, I belive Rafa has surpassed Roger for the same record with the twist "most consecutive weeks" spent in top 10 and that happened only this year.

Well it wasn't his hard work that did it! He was protected for the most part; esp. when taking off weeks and months off the tour!
Hey.. no one is questioning the wisdom of the US soldiers who decided to not to go with General Custer into the battle of little Big Horn vs The Cheyenne Indians ..feel me

Federer has the record with most weeks at Top 10 with 877 and counting. On the other hand, Nadal is third with 748 weeks at Top (69 weeks behind Connors for second place); However, Nadal is second in terms of consecutive weeks at Top 10 with 748 weeks (40 weeks behind Connors for 1st place). Basically, if Nadal is in Top 10 by the end of May 2020, he will be in 1st place in consecutive weeks at Top 10.

Here's an interesting fact: If Nadal keeps his number 2 ranking over Federer for another 12 weeks, he will be ranked in either Top 1 or Top 2 for 529 weeks which will be an all time record for Men's tennis.

But it won't last since Nole's hitting his prime! He's going to probably hold onto the top ranking thru next season and in the top 10 for 5 more years at least! All those records of Fedal will probably fall by the wayside before the ink is dry on the record-books! :p

Let's face it, Nole is past his "prime," though he does seem to be finding his best form again, and with not so very much competition in sight. I thought the youngsters were going to be showing more spunk than they have so far this year. Next couple of years should be another story, though. But, sure, no reason to think that Novak won't be in good shape and good form for another 5 years.

We keep saying the top 3 dominance can’t last forever but I’m unequivocally stating that someone else will crack into the top spot by the time Rafa or Novak hit 40. I mean it has to happen sometime.

After accepting a wild card into the Winston Salem tournament in singles,Andy Murray has a change of plan and will not play doubles at the USO.Murray wants to focus more on singles training for the fall and hope for a full return in January.

Frances Tiafore recieved a wild card into Winston Salem after Kevin Anderson a recent wildcard, withdraws due to lingering injury.

US open qualifications underway. Several marque names have fallen, some ranked even in the top 100:
Gojowczyk, Travglia, Istomin, Stakhovsky, Gulbis, and some of the very young such as Molleker and Korda.
EDIT: Ryan Harrison too.

Qualifying isn't like it used to be! It's tough & the usual suspects are quite vulnerable to this new crop of players who're quite talented!

Tipsarević announced his retirement at the end of the season. He wants to retire in Madrid for Davis Cup. I am not sure he will play there because they still have DC as a pre-requisite for Olympics and Serbia has 5 players who may be in chance to qualify: Nole, Lajović, Đere, Kecmanović and Krajinović, so they may all be interested to play in Madrid before Janko.
