I see. And now Kukushkin played a 5 setter so he'll be tired for dull. You see luck is always on dull's side sadly.

You seem to have checked the wrong scores cos he won his match in 4 pretty routine sets. Haven't personally had the time to review the draw, but if he's actually playing Nadal next, I'd fancy his chances personally. Like I said, he won a TB set against him 2014 and was extremely unlucky his knee went after the first set. Lost next 3 sets 6-1. Nadal dodged a bullet there. Didn't last long of course.

You're right sorry, it was 4 sets. I read somewhere that Kukushkin will play dull on Court 1 which is usually quicker than CC so dull looks ripe to be taken out.

I think she meant that 12 months might not be an issue for someone young. But for some one of Murray's age, it is too long. In other words, even if Murray is able to resurrect himself from the hip injury, Carol feels that his general oldage will crucify him.

If the movement improves I could see him making some waves at best of 3 on occasion but his best of 5 days may be over.

I think they should give this surface another name, not grass. Even though I rarely discuss this topic, I am also disappointed by the fact that the surfaces are getting less specialized. In 90's, the likes of Kuerten/Costa rarely showed up at Wimbledon, but if he played now, Kuerten would reach the quarter finals or better. In the end, its no longer fair competition.

How about they call it ass from now on. Sure ain't grass....

Simon dismisses Basilashvili. Benoit takes the opener over Jung. Shapo takes the opener from Chardy

Mischa can't even hold serve on this garbage grass. Shameless shit from Wimbledon like always.

My only hope of someone sending the Peasant for fishing is gone. Now, Rafa is sure to reach at least QF if not better.

I spoke too soon. Feddies not to worry. Alex De Minaur (assuming he wins his next match :p), will also be a good candidate to send the Peasant for fishing in Majorca. :cheerleader:

The Anti-Nadal crowd should calm down a bit, because there isn't much difference in playing style between Misha Zverev and his conquerer Patrice Herbert.
Have you actually seen Herbert play?
And I beg your pardon he is not no-name either.
Herbert is a double specialist, 3 times GS champion .
The only problem is he is playing both events and I think he is too tired to do well enough in singles.
But he is a serve volley type of player himself.

He does not have to do too well. He just needs to do well enough in singles.

Mischa wouldn't have posed any problems to Nadal. He already beat him twice last year. It takes more than serving and volleying to take out Rafa. If you notice Rosol, Darcis, Brown, Kyrgios all had barely played Rafa before playing him on grass. Muller did but he knew what it took to beat Rafa on grass.

Rafa is most vulnerable on grass when he has not played an opponent at all or at least much outside of grass. He can''t get into the other dude's mind.

Italy went 3-1 today. While Cecchinato got upset by the young Aussie hope de Minaur, Fognini, Bollelli and Berrettini all won.
Berrettini actually upset Sock.

His 3 round opponent will be either Herbert, who Nadal beat once indoors in Basel 3 years ago or the new kid de Minaur who I think he never played before.

Denis wins in 4. Good job by the young man.
