I know what you mean but I'm still rooting for DP. Would be a hell of a story and you want to talk about a guy who has had bad luck with injuries...

Even if Djokovic loses the final he is going to have a good shot at #1 anyways, there's a lot of points in Fall season.

Agreed it will be an incredible story if Delpo wins - hoping so. Though of same age, Djokovic I feel will have a longer career than Nadal and is a threat to Rafa’s legacy no matter what happens tomorrow. Of course he needs to be healthy.

AND Federer.

There are ways Nole could end up with less Majors then Roger or even Rafa and be seen as the GOAT for many.

I could see various scenarios where he could make things interesting.

For example *if*he wins the AO AND the FO next year with 16 Majors he would have a Second Nole Slam; Nole would also have won all the Majors twice.

Not yet predicting that is going to happen, but there are plenty of scenarios still open, and as previously mentioned he stays healthy. Ditto Nadal for that matter.
