Lol! Not every miss is a choke. It's not that simple

Personally I'd say he blew massive dollops of gawk all over the court right there. If this played at proper speed like a medium/fast hard court should then Nadal would've been gone against Khachanov but this is so disgracefully slow Del Potro can barely hit winners even when blasting the cover off the ball and Nadal is returning like it's clay from basically the spectators' seats ffs. Same last year against Anderson. Couldn't manage that if the balls weren't so damn heavy.

oh he definitely messed up. But the word choke implies that there was a mental component to it. I don't think there was

God damn I hate those stupid little steps that clown takes and then the grumpy scowl. He's basically the male Sharapova. She does those same stupid steps and has the same angry face the whole time.

Of course not, but when you donate 5 or 6 UE's serving for the set against a gimpy opponent?
it's the first set mate. They're both well into it. I really don't think the word choke applies. It's used too loosely around here. Sometimes you just play bad shots

Really sad. Del Po has to hit a shot 3 times because it is coming back all the time.

I think he was feeling the pressure. Does that bad of a game happen at 2-2 in the first? Maybe. But when your talking those kind of errors I feel like the pressure got to him there.

First set should be in the bag now for DP anyway.

sometimes you start thinking ahead to the next set before you've locked it up. He wasn't nervous about winning. Loss of concentration maybe, choke nah...
