No I meant even without Durant back.

No I think you have me wrong, I'm not overrating the Dubs. I've always questioned the narrative that these teams with no finals pedigree could just turn up and roll over the Warriors. That's just not how it works in sports usually. It ain't easy going out there and performing at the optimal level in pressure situations. If people were saying that the Bucks should win then I get that. But the narrative has been GSW has no chance without KD. To me that's as dumb as saying one of these next Geners who's been on a tear can turn up in a slam and Fedalovic wouldn't stand a chance. That's who GSW are... Fedalovic… with or without KD imho. They have pedigree and everyone seems to be discounting pedigree and that is insane to me
btw... I'm not saying you said that

If the Bucks lose this series I hope Giannis punches out that little retard Drake. A 20 game suspension next year won't cripple the Bucks and it'd be well worth it. That clown is allowed to get away with way too much at those games and him getting lit up by one of the players is overdue.

So that's where you get your info from. I don't listen to sports talk shows, because I know more about sports than they do and they get paid. People like Stephen A, Skip Clueless and most of the ESPN clowns are useless when it comes to actually making credible and unbiased reports.

There are a couple of commentators that call games. I really admire and respect their input: Greg Anthony, CWeb and Reggie are pretty good.

I blame it all on Skip. He's the one who started the extreme sensationalism game in sports commentary. It's somehow worked for him and now you see more of it.

CWebb isn't an awful commentator anymore. I love the guy but for years he didn't add much. Reggie is alright but can be pretty biased at times and then there is the ageless Marv "Bite me" Albert. That Doris Burke is good. She's a horny little thing though, she's always touching the guys.

Lol! I love basketball. I watch as many games as I can and I read and watch as many opinion pieces as I can. Doesn't mean I agree with what they say, it's just a function of my interest. I could similarly refer to the tennis podcasts and opinion pieces I read, or the same for soccer or UFC or boxing. I think by now you know me well enough to realise I have my own views and I'm not easily swayed. From time to time, I will mention when one of these "pundits" say something ridiculous or outrageous. It's just funning ;)

Wow... not sure if you guys are following this KD Chris Broussard thing, but I'm seriously starting to think that there is something defective within KD's pathology. Something ain't right....

Nothing new there, he's the most sensitive man alive :lol6:

The narrative is funny though. Would they have beaten Houston this year and last year without KD? Would they have beat LeBron and co in 2017 finals without KD? I'm not so sure, maybe they win 1 of 3 or 2 of 3 titles but highly doubt they win 3. Anyways it is a matter of careful what you ask for, the man is clearly leaving after this season.

It's unanswerable. The narrative I find amusing is the one that says because they lost from 3 1 up to the Cavs they were never going to be able to beat them again. That they turned to KD in a panic to get them over the line. It's not credible to me. Given how phenomenal the Dubs organisation is, it is far more likely to me that they... and DF you'll understand the Nimzowitchean phrasing... would want to overprotect their strength. I don't believe they went to KD from a position of weakness, but strength. It's something in all likelihood which was impossible but for the loss, so they took the opportunity. That's what winners do. I look forward to this final, and a part of me hopes that KD isn't able to come back in time or at least maybe for only a couple of games. I think these guys without him will swarm whoever gets through. I would love nothing better than for them to put all that nonsense into the trash once and for all..

It wasn't out of a position of weakness for the Warriors, rather I'd say it was more a position of weakness for KD. I do agree though that KD probably doesn't join the Warriors if they had won the title that year. He thought it wouldn't look so bad since they lost the final.

I did see that KD is not expected to be back for the start of the series which starts a week from today. I'd be curious who the Warriors prefer to see in the finals. Toronto is way more veteran but they could be running on fumes and already have injury concerns with Leonard while Milwaukee and mainly Giannis may be showing their lack of experience.

Milwaukee on paper presents a bigger threat especially with KD out but if Giannis is going to continue to freeze up then clearly Kawhi is the best player from either East team which would probably make Toronto a tougher matchup overall. In theory the Warriors should be raped by Giannis but the Freak should be having his way a lot more this series and he's been weak.

it's always different when it's a final. I don't think regular season results matter much at this point. In a way I feel like the Bucks have false information right now. I have a suspicion that they will be shocked by how different it is to face GSW in a NBA final vs the regular season. And that's without even contending with the demons that will exist just being in a final. I'm not saying they'll freeze but... there are levels to this. I still think the Bucks make it through if only because Kawhi looks injured. If he wasn't I would bet on the Raptors at this point. I haven't liked how the Bucks haven't been rising to the occasion

And let's be serious, ALL of you hopes KD doesn't play. It's fine to want some glory for your favorite player. I'm guessing there are other Warrior fans that are feeling the same. I think I said before on this board that those two being on the same team somewhat takes away from each of them individually. KD has the Finals MVP's which are enormous for a legacy but this is still Steph's team and city. From Steph's perspective winning a few more rings doesn't matter so much if he has KD and an all around dream team. They are both probably going to finish as top 10 ATG's or close to it anyways but they each probably want to be on their own at this point.

Golden State did impressive work in the short time they played Houston without KD. But who knows what happens there in a full series. I do think the Warriors had a virtual bye in the conference finals and people may be acting a bit hysterical as a result. Anyone that has followed Portland over the years and understands how playoff bball works knows that team really isn't strong that's why I got a good laugh hearing Chuck predict they'd make the finals or seeing some other people say the Warriors wouldn't beat them without Durant. They'd probably beat that team without Green or Thompson on top of it. Kind of reminds me of the Hawks team that made it 4 years ago to ECF.

I don't think anyone cares about the regular season as a whole, not just the two matchups they played vs. each other. I thought the Bucks might freeze up in the 2nd round especially without Brogdon but it seems to be hitting them now. I'm not sure they'd even take a game 7 at home right now and if they lose tonight it's all over. No matter what I don't think they win game 6 in Toronto, not after that debacle a couple nights ago.

I just don't like the style of basketball they play with KD. never have. I think he's a phenomenal player, but quite frankly I'm done with all his insecurities. If he wants to go then let him go. I'll take my chances with the core. And it's not like they won't be able to get decent players in. I have always rejected the narrative that they are helpless without him. And by the way for me it's not about glorifying Steph. It's all about the way they play without him

I agree that they play differently when he's not in there and Steph's brother said as much. I'm not sure Id say they are overall harder to defend without KD (like Seth said) but they are different. They move the ball more and there's also the possibility Steph is simply more engaged and has a more aggressive mindset when KD is out. I think they all do, but especially Curry. Steph was really awful against Houston most of the last two years but without KD he went nuts in the 2nd half of game 6.

These bastards better not fuck me tonight.
Home cooking man. Always works for the average players. Stars, they do it anywhere. If you are a guy like Gasol or Bledsoe your shots only fall at home :). Rap's only chance tonight is if they can keep it close and be there at the end and hope your stars do something.
