I would liken using the Bucks form against the Dubs in the regular season as a reference point about as useful as Dominic Thiem beating Rafa in a RG warm up tournament as a guide to how he would perform in a RG final. Seems naive to me. We're talking about an unseasoned team (no matter how good) beating a championship team in a final. I"m very sceptical

No one is putting them as favorites over GSW if Durant is back. And the way Giannis is playing right now they probably wouldn't even need Durant. I don't think Toronto would be favored over them without Durant especially since they will be running on fumes if they win this series and they simply don't have a lot of talent after Kawhi. But that certainly would be a close call if KD isn't in there.

But I can't help but feel you are overrating the Warriors level right now. Beating Portland in 4 or 5 was the expectation even without KD. That team overachieved and lacks star power. And no, this is not the same Warriors that won 73 games without KD.

No I think you have me wrong, I'm not overrating the Dubs. I've always questioned the narrative that these teams with no finals pedigree could just turn up and roll over the Warriors. That's just not how it works in sports usually. It ain't easy going out there and performing at the optimal level in pressure situations. If people were saying that the Bucks should win then I get that. But the narrative has been GSW has no chance without KD. To me that's as dumb as saying one of these next Geners who's been on a tear can turn up in a slam and Fedalovic wouldn't stand a chance. That's who GSW are... Fedalovic… with or without KD imho. They have pedigree and everyone seems to be discounting pedigree and that is insane to me
