Golden State only needs to show up for 6-7 minutes a game against these guys. I like Lillard but he is just a star, not a superstar. When that's your best player you can't be a contender. I never thought much of Stotts as a coach when he was with the Bucks but he's done well with Portland over the years because that is not a very talented squad especially for how tough the West has been.

I do wonder if the NBA finals still has a very delayed start if both series are short. If the Bucks can manage to get the Raps out of the way quick maybe it starts early and KD may not be ready.

EDIT: Just checked and it starts on May 30 no matter what.

Dame has not shown up again. Portland will be going home by way of broom. Oops, my bad, they're already at home. It'll be a short trip to fishing. :fishing:

I was just going to tell you that the schedule is made up ahead of time and they stick to it no matter what.

Plenty of time for KD to be back. About 3.5 weeks after his injury. Surprised they are starting it that late

Draymond has been en fuego! This sort of performance sends a message out that he's been sacrificing for the good of the team. He just might get his max contract after all

Well I didn't see a second of it. Chose to watch GOT instead...guess I could regret that decision but maybe not. Looks like everyone on the Bucks not named Brogdon, Hill and Lopez were absolutely horrific tonight. Maybe Giannis is showing nerves at this juncture as he hasn't been impressive at all in this series and was clearly a disaster tonight. Bledsoe remains the key in a way. If he plays well the only team that can beat them is a healthy and top shelf GSW. After a loss like that the Bucks either say " we can't play much worse" and come out strong or they just handed new life to Toronto and get blitzed in game 4.

Time for Giannis to show he's elite. The real mega superstars are built in the playoffs. No one rates Harden over the top 3 even after the last couple regular seasons. Giannis did well against Boston after the one loss, hopefully this will be the same. I guess it's a good sign the Bucks won with 2 mediocre games from him to begin with.

Me , on the other hand, who has never watched an episode of GOT but have read all the books, got stuck with the game :)
This was one like pulling teeth. Foul trouble killed any groove Raps had to close it in regulation time. Kawhi did his thing, Siakam helped and Powell was once again the one spark off the bench but foul trouble got him out too. Gasol was not shy to pull the trigger and it helped.
Raps played for their lives and survived but it should never have gone to even one OT.
Brogdon is the best Buck after Giannis but Giannis has a little ways to go if he wants to be a true elite. Raps find ways to slow him down.
Kawhi hurt something. If it turns out it is even a bit serious, it is over. For now, Raps on life support.

Watching the Dubs in this series I have to concede that KD will definitely leave after this season. I was resistant to the rumours as it makes no sense for someone to leave a winning team, but this has to be a gut punch for him to watch GSW play this type of ball without him. It doesn't feel irrational anymore

He is leaving because it is a great team without him and he wants to prove he can win a title on his own with a normal team. Me and most of the world see Durant as the best player on that team but it is still Steph's team and KD only proves so much by winning a few titles there with a dream team.

Kobe made a more selfish move by having Shaq traded so he could try to build his own legacy. Kyrie wanted off the Cavs to build his own legacy, etc.

KD is coming to Toronto after Kawhi leaves at the end of this year :)

I'd like him to come to Milwaukee lol. Our chances are the same my friend, 0%. Sounds like he is going to the Big Apple. I'm hoping if another superstar joins it is Kyrie.

I can't shake the feeling the Bucks are going to be caught between a rock and a hard place as far as contracts go. I don't think they should've signed Bledsoe so early. He just has too much awful ball in him and it is of course magnified in the playoffs when defenses are tighter and pressure is higher. I was hoping it was just a Boston problem but he's been bad this series. Middleton also is a tough one because Giannis is very loyal to him and sees him as a good Robin. He is definitely not a max player but Bucks may overpay. If they somehow win the whole thing of course you bring them all back if you can. Probably the same if they make the finals. But if they collapse here then it's big decision time.

Blazers crack me up. It'd be one thing if this wasn't a veteran team but they are. The shot selection is among the worst I've seen ever. The only things that beat a great defense is a mega superstar and good ball movement. They don't have a semblance of either.

Can Dubs put them out of their misery? I'm tired of watching these so called professionals. Technically should be up 3-1, but bad shot selections, no hustling for boards and most of all missed FT's.

No KD, no Eagle. Klay was alright, Curry gassed and the Blazers at home still couldn't get a win w/ Leonard pouring 25 points in.

Now Dubs have about week and half to get KD and Boogie ready

I'm always amazed the Blazers win 50 games in the West every year. They don't have much talent and their best player is more star than superstar. I mean how bad is OKC look right now? How bad does Russieee in particular look? I get Denver losing just due to having no experience but how does OKC lose to these guys in 5?

This will be a defining finals for the Dubs and most particularly for Curry. He needs to bury this narrative that he disappears in finals (although when you look at the numbers that's not clear at all) once and for all. If KD misses the show, it's going to be interesting to see if Steph finally gets the MVP. Given the way Draymond played this last series it's not clear cut at all!

That's actually a good question in it's own right... who would you guys give WCF MVP to? Steph or Draymond?

Funny thing is I remember KD saying once he would love to play for Toronto. When, where, no idea. The thing is if Raps lose Kawhi, and it is very likely, than KD will have his own team in Toronto that is almost there. Why would you chose a team to start from scratch, a total unknown situation? Same with Bucks. Why would I NOT go to Bucks, a team that is almost ready to win it all? Unless you want bright lights, big city...

Definitely Steph. They were both phenomenal but one of them is scoring 35 per game very efficiently...

I agree, but not surprisingly a lot of pundits are pointing at Draymond. It seems that with some folk it doesn't matter what Curry does they'll find an excuse to give someone else the credit. It would shock me if Draymond were to get MVP in the finals if the same pattern develops. Obviously not something you want to contemplate being a Bucks fan, but you get my point
